2 weeks post op

Sooo....2 weeks in and I'm back to work as of Monday. I got tired towards the end of the day on days 1 and 2 but I'm pretty much back in the rhythm of things now. I've taken a Tylenol here and there but anything that you could really call muscle pain has dissipated. Right now it pretty much feels like deep sunburn across the bottom of my breasts (in the fold) and down along the sides. It's terrible when my clothes lay across them, so I'm happy when I get home and can take everything off on top!!! From research it sounds like this is nerves regenerating along with some stretching of the skin. So nothing I feel I need to call the Dr about, just super irritating.

My breasts look like they're dropping to me?? I'm still wearing the strap except when showering, to help the right move down. I'm so tempted to take the dressings off to look at my nipples but I'm scared it will impact the results, so I don't! It's gonna be a long month till I go back to see the Dr.

Happy healing to everyone else still recovering! And I hope these posts are helpful to those researching, or waiting on their big date!

Day 8 post op

Hey all...hope everyone is having a great week, and that someone takes a couple Cinco de Mayo shots of tequila on my behalf! ;-)

Not much to report...getting back to normal. Still no real pain to speak of...just twinges when I move certain ways, or too fast. I actually was able to sleep propped on my side last night, which made me soooo happy!!

I had my one week post op visit yesterday and got to see my nipples and areolas for the first time. The Dr warned me not to freak out, but they weren't too bad...probably because of all I've already seen on Real Self! The stitches were still visible and I had sensation when he washed them before reapplying the dressings, which was a HUGE relief. He took me out of that torture trap surgical bra...thank God. It rubbed me pretty raw on the undersides of both breasts and just under my arm pits, but I've been slathering those areas in coconut oil (staying away from the dressings) and they feel much better. He has me braless, but I have to continue wearing the strap across my right breast except when I'm showering, until I go back and see him next month. He pressed down really hard a few times on the top of the right breast to push it down into the pocket, which hurt like hell. And he told me to be patient because like all good things in life it's going to take time...which made me smile. Maybe he gets people jumping up and down who want perfection after a week, but that's not me. This website and all my research has really helped give me perspective on what to expect at each stage of the process so I'm fine being patient. But I'm really happy with the results so far...I think Dr Rodriguez did a fantastic job. As long as nothing unexpected happens, at this point my final review is really only contingent on seeing my nipples and aereolas next month.

Day 6 post op

Hi all! Feeling better every day....no real breast pain to speak of. I took one Tylenol yesterday and that was for a headache. I only really feel anything pain like when I first wake up...and then it's maybe a 2 or 3 out of 10, for the little bit of time it takes to sit up and get out of bed. Side note - maaaan I miss sleeping on my stomach! :-(

Anyhoo, my right breast seems to be progressing slower than the left. The twinges and pinching sensations happen mostly on the right. It is more swollen on the right top of my chest...really no upper chest swelling at all on the left side. And also the right implant is still sitting higher up, so I'm wearing the compression strap under the surgical bra....we'LL see what the Dr thinks as I go for my one week post op appt tomorrow. I'm anxious/nervous/excited/scared to see my nipples/areolas once the steri strips and dressings come off!!!

Speaking of which - I had a crescent lift because I was very concerned about scarring...one of the reasons I chose Dr Rodriguez was his confidence in an attractive result without need for an anchor or lollipop lift. In my younger years I wasn't prone to scarring, but that seems to have changed and I really didn't want to spend all this $$ and not end up with the prettiest result possible! So far I think things look good, but I'm withholding full review until I see everything off tomorrow. I'd love to hear feedback from anyone who had a similar procedure...are you happy with the results or do you wish you'd opted for the anchor or lollipop??? Thanks. :-)
