Got my eight-month-old subpectoral saline implants...
Got my eight-month-old subpectoral saline implants removed under local anesthesia at the Plastic Surgery Center in Lutherville, MD.
I'd been wanting to get my implants removed for a while but was getting quoted rates of four thousand dollars or more. I'd heard that it could be done under local so I was calling around to find a doctor who could do that.
The Plastic Surgery Center booked me for a consultation about a week from the time I called, and Dr. Shermak was able to get me in less than a week after the consultation for surgery.
The procedure only took about an hour and was under local anesthesia, so it was basically just like going to the dentist or getting stitches. Dr. Shermak and her assistant chatted with me throughout the procedure and made me feel very comfortable.
I was overjoyed when they removed the curtain and I saw my natural chest!
This was yesterday. Today I'm feeling fine, just a little sore, but was able to pick up my thirty-pound kid and do everything pretty normally. I'm happy with how I look, feeling good, and VERY happy that I spent less than $2k.

Dr. Shermak was friendly, pleasant and confident. She put me at ease by telling me that she'd performed the procedure I wanted many times and had done it just the week prior. She chatted with me during the procedure (it was under local) and was efficient without being cold. The rest of the staff was very nice as well, and someone even got me a cup of water with a straw when I got a tickle in my throat during the procedure.
