Incision site looks even better! So there still *is* some glue on the incision site—mainly right below the columella. I’m continuing to cover the incision/stitches with bacitracin as a protective layer (since most of the glue flaked off) and to further along the healing process.
I’m about to go run some errands, and I honestly believe I can look straight at someone and talk to them and I’m pretty sure they won’t notice anything going on under my nose! I’ve been briefly out in public every day since surgery without a mask, but I was hesitant to make direct eye contact and hold a conversation with someone before today.
Also, I had originally taken off work for 12 days. However, yesterday I decided that I could definitely return to work earlier. I am now returning to work, where I individually consult with individuals face-to-face for 1-1.5 hours, 9 days post op!
It seems like the healing process widely varies between individuals. Although I did not get the full bullhorn lip lift, I do feel like I’m healing extremely quickly. I’m 34-years-old—so not extremely young with tons of collagen at my disposal but perhaps age plays a role. I do think eating a clean, plant based diet the past year has definitely helped!

Post op day 3: I cannot believe how fast I’m healing! I believe my swelling fully subsided yesterday. Last night/today I started to develop an over-so-slight bruise under my nose—I think where Dr. Rodriguez had to put pressure to stop bleeding during the procedure. Also, my glue started to come off yesterday, which worried me a bit. But I was able to swing by for a quick appointment with Dr. Rodriguez, whom told me everything looked fine. The glue continued to flake off, so now I believe I am just seeing stitches. I placed bacitracin on top of the sutures to prevent infection and to further speed along the healing process. So far I still cannot believe how quickly I am healing and how happy I am with the results! The results are VERY noticeable to me when I look in the mirror! Just want I’ve been wanting for years!
