Noticeably lumpy lip after Silikon 1000 microdroplet injections

Lumpy Lip After Silikon 1000 Microdroplet Injections

Slb429
The year I turned forty, I decided to spend some time and money on myself. I was going to a reputable medspa and having sun damage treatment on my face. They offered a lip augmentation using Silikon 1000 microdroplet. The women that worked there had beautiful results and I decided to go for it, against my better judgment. I had the injections done in my upper lip by a qualified practitioner. It looked great and was a subtle plumping. Fast forward 13 years. My upper lip has become noticeably lumpy. If I could take it back, I would! Please don’t have silicone injected anywhere! It is NOT worth it. I am embarrassed and ashamed that I fell for something so obviously risky and now I live with the permanent consequences that may only get worse.

Who was your injector?

It'd be great if that was actually a factor (meaning, the idea that silicon injection success depends on the injector, using the microdroplet technique). But, it doesn't matter who injects it, how they inject it, how much time you take between injections, nothing. Silicon 1000 starts giving you problems after the 12th year. People think "it won't happen to me," and I know that because *I* thought that. It's not true, it WILL happen, and those who inject it and say "there's a chance it can migrate over time," what they really mean is "This absolutely will become very [RS bleep] up later in your life but by then you'll have moved, or forgotten about me, and you can't sue me anyway because you were informed of the risks." Also, there's no way to remove this stuff once it fuses with your body tissues. Yay!

I developed complications almost immediately after receiving the injections.

I had a similar experience...it's interesting to me that complications show up so much later -- like, 8 years, 12 years...not like in 2 years or so, when you could still call your injector and say "what's up with this?". It happens so much later. I physically went to my injector and she didn't even remember me, much less how she injected my lip. "We only keep records for 7 years." Oh.

Is it safer in the nose?
