Lumps 1 Month After Subcision

Samantha12253
I had a subcision performed 1 month ago. About a week ago I noticed 2 small lumps forming in the area that was treated and am extremely concerned that I have hypertrophic scarring as a result of the subcision. The lumps almost look like pimples (they aren’t) because they are pink in color and if I apply pressure they are mildly painful. Is this actually scarring? I went back to the doctor that performed the subcision and she says that she doesn’t think it’s hypertrophic scarring and could be residual blood deposits underneath the skin. What do you guys think? Is this hypertrophic scarring or will it go away on it’s own? How do I get rid of it?

I should also note that I am wearing a little bit of concealer in this picture so you can’t really see the redness. Also, looks a bit more obvious in certain lighting and in really life

Hi, I’ve had subcision a few times too and had these lumps as well. In my case it eventually went away after 6-8 weeks . Maybe give it some time and it should resolve on its own :)

How many subcisions have you had and how has the improvement been? I have had one subcision with filler and for some reason I only see 10% improvement. Not too happy. I could hear the fibrosis brands being cut during the procedure which made me think there would be tremendious improvement but wasn't the case. Have one lump, your message gives me hope that it might go away.

If they do not go away, you can massage gently. If no success, than go back to the doctor and he should be able to inject Kenalog in a very tiny amount to cure the inflammation.
