The minute my boyfriend and I walked into Pgh Smile Boutique we knew we found the right place. The office decor is so immaculate, it’s like no other dentist office I’ve ever been to. Right away we felt comfortable when we were greeted by the extremely friendly staff. (I’m serious! Sometimes I want to go and just hang out with them when I’m passing through the area. Everyone is SO great and that really goes a long way!)
Next, the important stuff- Dentistry & Price.
Personally, I only received a consultation for lumineers, however, my boyfriend did that plus the whole procedure so I feel like I experienced both in a way as well.
During the consultation, Dr.Shieh was SO extremely detailed. No question was left unanswered and neither of us felt rushed or pressured what so ever. The environment was friendly and laid back. We both agree that it was a very comfortable, and could even be described as a fun, experience. We joked because I was so confident leaving that I felt like I just received a express education in veneers by the time I left! It was THAT detailed! I also loved that my situation was completely different than my boyfriends’ and Dr. Shieh took the time to go through everything individually for each of us. This is not a “one size fits all” process. It was very personal, which I appreciated. I knew after that consult that if I was going to do this- Dr.Shieh was my guy. He is awesome. I even texted him a paragraph of questions at 1am (I’m alittle crazy sometimes, lol) expecting that he would respond the following morning/afternoon. He messaged me back immediately. Talked me off the ledge at 1am and calmed ALL uncertainty that both, me and my boyfriend, had. Dr. Shieh really goes above and beyond for his clients.
Unfortunately, that is where my personal story ends. (I needed alot more work than most so I decided to get treated in the future). However, like I said, my boyfriend continued the process and got lumineers. They look AMAZING! Dr.Shieh and his team really did an incredible job. My boyfriend smiles more now than ever before and I’ve watched his confidence sky rocket. I would recommend Pgh Smile Boutique to anyone and everyone who isn’t 100% happy with their smile.
Price $$$- So, this is an area of personal preference in my opinion. If I’m being honest- I’m sure you can find veneers/lumineers for cheaper. Believe me- I love a good deal, but I don’t think your smile is something to bargain shop. Knowledge & Quality aren’t cheap! This is an investment. It’s cosmetic, it’s a luxury. Keep in mind that you’re guaranteed to love your teeth because Dr.Shieh wouldn’t have it any other way. Do your research and go in with a realistic expectation and you will not be disappointed. They were very reasonable on price and even said they’d help us out alittle if we BOTH received treatment. (I didn’t, of course- but the offer was still extremely appreciated). Regardless, it was worth every penny.
