Hello, I had been looking into getting a TT done for a very long time. I have finally got it I'm on day 1 after surgery not only did I get a tummy tuck I also had back & flank liposuction as well. It is what I was expecting, not able to move around too much lots of swelling....as of right now I feel the lipo is more painful than the TT itself. I actually think I'm handling it very well, but then again I have my husband at home helping me get in and out of bed. Once he returns to work I hope my son will be able to tolerate helping me. He wasn't to fond of the drain tubes lol
Pain meds help take the edge off a little if anyone has any suggestions to a good recovery or just any advice that can help. Feel free please. Much love & I will continue to update my progress and soon load up some after pics ????????

Dr. Minns did my tummy tuck about 4 years ago and I'm so happy with my results. The first couple of weeks I slept on a recliner. If you have one I recommend it. Also try and take tour medicine right at every 4 or 6 hours. The swelling takes a while to go down. Everyday is a process! Happy healing!

Well today is day 2 decided to take a shower my husband has been amazing helping me and making me feel comfortable. I think I overdid it some I started to notice bloated feeling and more pain without my binder, definitely felt great to put it back on. I have been gassy

And no BM yet. And YES my recliner has definitely been a blessing. And now just taking 1 day at a time.

I took a folding chair in the shower for the first week and my husband would bathe me. That helped a lot with the pain. Also I kept my binder on 24/7 unless I showered. Hope everything is going well

You reminded me of myself before surgery. Now I'm so happy with my results.

I'm happy with my results as well. I just can't wait to go back to feeling normal again and being able to do more activities. Or as simple as laying on my stomach to sleep! I miss it so much lol although I have been able to do a little more than usual. :)

I'm 4 months and still not able to sleep on my stomach. All I can say is it takes much patience. I'm glad now I'm at the point where I can do anything I want except sleep on my stomach. I feel so sexy now. A couple of my Co workers that know about my surgery tells me all the time that "I'm feeling myself" lol. I can say I waited so long for this and yes I am because I can.

You can go workout the binder. I always felt like I needed it. When I would take a shower my mother in law would put a folding chair in the tub for me and a towel underneath so it wouldn't move, and that how I took a shower sitting down until I was able to do it alone standing, and that took about a week I think, but it was so exhausting.

Rough night

I didn't get much sleep last night I have been sleeping in my recliner for the past few days and decided since I felt much better, that maybe just maybe I would be more comfortable in my bed. Wrong! I slept a oil maybe from 5am to about 8am only due to Norco. And woke up with so much pain in my back and as if my torso was splitting in two.. ???? Definitely won't be doing that again! Well not anytime soon.???? I was able to get some light work in yesterday and stayed up on my feet as much as I could resist., I might of overdid it. Today I will be getting my rest, not to mention I should start my cycle today and not looking forward to that at all!!!

Not having much drainage anymore, & my appt to get them removed is not til 7/27/15 ????
On aaaaanother note finally had a BM today hope I can keep myself regular now.
Hope everyone else is having a fantastic day! ????Everyday is a step closer to recovery! ????????
