So I've been kinda forgetting to update my profile. My surgery was on the 28th. I lost 10lbs of boobs and my PS said that I would probably still be a DD!!! She took 5lbs from each side...OMG!!! I'm not complaining because anything is better than the 44Hs that I started with. Post op, I didn't experience any nausea or vomiting, just a lot of pain!!! My PS prescribed pain meds and antibiotics and I started those as soon as I got home from the surgery center. I had a little scare on post op day 1 that required a trip to the ER. My Mom has been staying with me and when she was helping me take off the dressings to shower, I passed out on her. It scared the crap out of her so she called 911. My PS did come to the ER and explained to me what was going on. I have a lot of light pink drainage from my right breast and not so much from the left. However, she is kinda worried about the left forming a hematoma. Although I've been drinking water like there is no tomorrow, she encouraged me to drink even more because my body is trying so hard to compensate for the 10lbs of tissue loss that I am still becoming dehydrated. I will post pics soon. My first scheduled post op appointment is today. I don't regret having this operation, I just wish the pain would go away and I could get some good sleep. I think I'm having a hard time because I usually sleep on my stomach....won't be doing that for a while!!! Praying for a speedy recovery!!!

So while I was at a routine OB/GYN visit, she asked me had I ever thought about a breast reduction and gave me a referral to one. I've always wanted to have a reduction but didn't think it would beer be possible due to cost. Well...after the initial consultation with my PS, my procedure was approved by my insurance company!!! Thank You Lord!!!! I am currently wearing a size 44H, but I may be a little larger than that but I'm refusing to buy any more bigger bras!!! I'm am excited about the procedure but also a little nervous at the same time. I'm 30 years old and have no children so it's an obvious concern to me of them returning if I were to have children. I'm also concerned about loss of nipple sensation. Has anyone loss all sensation to their nipple post-op?? And should I start taking any certain vitamins to help with wound healing post-op?? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!! ??

Congrats on your upcoming surgery - I had a free nipple graft so I don't have feeling in my nipples - I started as a 42J and now I'm a 40/42 C

Thank you!! It's starting to sink in that my surgery is now 2 weeks away!! Congrats on your surgery also. Your reduction turned out really good. I know you are glad to get rid of the extra baggage...I know I will be. :-)

Congrats on your upcoming surgery! I'm a 40G/H and I'll be saying goodbye to these chi-chi's in late February! I can't wait to see your post op pics! I'm going down to a small "C" or large "B" cup.

Thank you!!! I'm still trying to decide what size I want to go down to...either a large "C" or a small "D". Good luck with your upcoming surgery. :-)

How exciting!! Congrats on the insurance approval! I'm at 36-38J right now, waiting to be 36c or d in late Feb -early March. I have quite a bit posted about supplements post-op in my profile and lead a fairly homeopathic lifestyle, I hope you find answers

Thanks!!! I did read your posts and the Arnica is a supplement that has been mentioned to me more than once. So that is definitely one that I will be buying. Thank you for the very informative post!! Good luck with your upcoming surgery!!!

Hi, so happy for you. I am about to have my second reduction, breastfeeding was a big part of that so read my review. If you have a free nipple graft (nipple treated as a skin graft) you will lose both sensation and the ability to breastfeed, but with larger reductions it may be the only option. However, nothing is guaranteed, you might not be able to breastfeed without the reduction. I guess you should sit down and make a list in priority order of all the issues for you e.g. is not having them come back again more important to you than breastfeeding????

Thank you!!! I am concerned about being able to breastfeed and nipple sensation, but I have came to terms that the benefits of a breast reduction outweigh the risk for me at this time. I will have to talk more to my PS because I really do not want to have a free nipple graft, but if that is the only option then I will have to go with it. She explained to me that she would be removing a lot breast tissue so I'll just have to pray about it.
But you did give me an idea...make a list. I keep thinking up questions to ask my PS and I really need to write them down and make the priority list. Thanks for your helpful information. Good luck with your second reduction and hope you get well soon.

Thanks I have no regrets about my first surgery etc If I had not breastfed I may not have needed a second reduction, but who knows? I had a glorious 15 years as a 34D from age 19, the best time in my life to get away with wearing anything I liked. It is kind of exciting to move nearer to that now, I early retired last year and this is all part of being able to make the life I want now.

Go for it! My daughter is 29, a 34G, also no kids yet, and wants it done. I wouldn't wait for after kids. Your PS can give you more info on nipple issues etc. I had mine 13 weeks ago, and I am encouraging my daughter to go for it too.

I am going for it!!! I don't even want to imagine what size my boobs would be if I already had kids..LOL!!! Congrats on your reduction and good luck with your future procedures. :-)
