20 Plus Year Old Saline Implants Need to Come Out!! Cleveland, OH

UPDATED FROM Wannabeimplantfree

Almost 3 months since explant

$7,500
It has been almost three months since I had my breast implants removed and I feel completely normal again. No more pain in my chest, haven't had as many headaches, hip pain is minimal and I am sleeping better. I know I made the right decision to take hold of my health first even though it meant using up my savings. I will be starting a new job this week and start school as well. I will follow up with Dr. Feng in December until then I am eating healthy and starting to exercise more so that I can drop 20 pounds and continue on my quest for optimal health.

I'm trying to prepare myself for recovery and know what I can and can't do during recovery. Starting a few days post op, do you think i'd be able to sit at a desk and get work done (from home) on my computer? Or would typing and sitting down at a desk be pushing it during those recovery weeks? I am just trying to figure out what I can do to fill my time during recovery. Want to keep my mind busy so I don't focus on the recovery as much.
You should be able to sit at a desk and get work done. The only restrictions I had was opening the car door or any heavy doors, lifting my arms over my head and lifting heavy items, things like that. Other than that I felt pretty good with minimal amount of pain.
perfect, thank you! During recovery, is it best to sleep on back? Or could I get away with belly or side sleeping? Also, did you ice post op? If so how many days post op did you ice?
She gave me small round packs that I put in the freezer which does seem to help. I had to sleep in a recliner the first night I just couldnt get comfortable. I had to sleep sitting up with lots of pillows. It is hard to lie on the side I would try but sometimes uncomfortable. May be like that the first few weeks. I think I used the ice packs for the first week but I dont think it would hurt to use longer if it helps with discomfort.
Thank you so much for this info. If you have any other helpful tips for post-op recovery, please let me know.
I used ice for almost 2 weeks as I found relief w/it. I found zip up shirts and loose fitting pants worked best, anything that doesn't take much muscle to "pull" upward. I slept in bed on my back and at first it was w/lots of pillows. If I were to do it again I would move items from my kitchen cabs onto countertops so I didn't hv to reach up, use laundry pods instead of heavy liquid bottle, I made meals & grocery shopped before hand.
Thank you so much for all these helpful tips
Check your inbox, I just sent you a private message. I don't think I get notifications that I have a new private message, so I figured i'd give you a heads up just in case :)

You look Beautiful! Not sure if you are still on this site but would love an update on your health issues today. Any difference in retrospect?

Six weeks post op

I went to see Dr Feng today for a check up and she is very pleased with everything. My scars have healed nicely due to the obaji scar cream she gave me. I am still having some discomfort and she was not concerned about it, she said it just takes time for everything to heal. I still wear a sport bra at night due to the discomfort. I havent had any hip pain or headaches and I am sleeping better than I have in years. I will be starting a new job in a few weeks and I start school in September. I am glad that I made the decision to get rid of those toxic implants so that I can focus on the future. Feeling optimistic about everything.

What kind of discomfort? Is it a result of the surgery? Is it nerve pain?
Not nerve pain just discomfort. My breasts were so hard I think once their out it takes some time for the breast tissue to heal and things to return to normal. I was told it could take a year or longer for them to be back to normal. I dont need to take anything for it, its not constant or all the time, mostly the left side
I swear you don't look like you ever had plants! You must be thrilled...
Thanks, yes its funny the things that seemed so important in my twenties, like bigger breasts are no longer so important in my 50's.

Almost three weeks lost op

Starting to feel better, still a little sore and uncomfortable sleeping but on the road to recovery and better health. I have a little sagging but still feel that it is an improvement. I have not had any hip pain since they were removed so I am optimistic that my joint pain was partially related to thr silicone shells that were shedding off. It was worth it.

you look great. i don't even think you need a lift at all. think you were wise not doing it.
Thanks, yes glad I waited to see the results .
Omg look at you! I don't even see a trace of the indentation! Must be keeping that fluff fairy busy...
You look amazing!
When did you feel you were back to 100% with no soreness? Like being able to everything you could do prior to explant? When could you lift really heavy things without any chest pain?
