Loving my Latisse Lashes

WORTH IT$200
I used to wear eyelash extensions. When I first got them, I really did love them, because I always looked fairly put together without having to wear mascara, but over time, the glue was really hard on my lashes and lids, to the point that after 5 years, my aesthetician suggested I start using Latisse to grow my lashes long enough for her to attach extensions. That was a wakeup call for me, because no way was I going to pay for Latisse AND bi-weekly extensions, so in July 2019 I said goodbye to eyelash extensions and started Latisse. I'm so glad I did! I ordered it online, from the Apostrophe website, and not only am I happier with the results, but switching to Latisse has saved me a lot of money. I was paying $120 per month for extensions ($60 every 2 weeks), but a bottle of Latisse, which costs approximately $100, lasts me 2 months which comes out to a cost of $50 per month. Also, the extensions always felt stiff on my eyelids, whereas with Latisse I'm back to soft lashes. BTW, I've just turned 70, so Latisse is not just for the young! Check out my before and after pics to see what I mean.

Be careful with Latisse - there have been several postings on this site that, over time, in addition to changing iris color, Latisse causes loss of the fat around the eyes and leaves a sunken look/dark areas. I researched this side effect online, and it is a real thing. Just an FYI.

Thank you! I wasn't aware of this, but at age 70, it may be less of a concern for me than it is for someone younger. But thank you for providing the link so I could read more about it. I appreciate it.

If you don’t get it on your skin then you will not get dark circles.

Assuming you are applying it at the base of your lashes, it is getting on your skin. I do not use Latisse, but considered it, until reading posts on Real Self, with before and after pics, showing skin discoloration and fat loss. I researched this separately, and found that these are documented side effects of Latisse in some people. I then decided against using Latisse.
