I had my tummy tuck and lipo approx 6 weeks ago and love the results. I never had any pain so I didn't require any pills. The one thing that I was not warned about is the tightness after the operation. This caused me to walk around my condo stooped over like a little old lady.
I, also, had some back pain because of being stooped over. The only way that I could remedy it was to gradually stand slowly up and walk straight (I always feared that I might rip the stitches but I never did).
I definitely researched my doctor...even contacting the College of Physicians and Surgeons because I wanted to ensure that I got a PS to do my surgery and not a general surgeon.
I loved my PS as he had a great bedside manner. He was always there for me. I contacted him twice on the weekend and he returned my calls in less than 1/2 hour...how good is that.
My scar is so low (goes across my pubic hair line..from hip to hip)and so thin that it's hard to believe that I had it done on Aug 16/07. I felt a lot better after two weeks. I did have some fluid retention but I saw the doctor once a week so that he could drain it. I'm so glad that I did the surgery.
The results were amazing but it was well worth the $5900 CDN.
