Hello, I would like to share a few things with you...

Hello, I would like to share a few things with you. About twenty five years ago I had silicone implants put in. The doctor was at the time a ear, nose, and throat doctor. But he started doing boob jobs. I had them done for, I think around 2,300 dollars. I had trouble from the get go. They hardened like bricks. My chest hurt all the time. It actually did feel like I was packing two heavy bricks around. I would have to go to his office once every couple of weeks or so to have them, what they called broke. They would have me come in the back way of his office to come into to the surgery part. They would give me a shot of something to help with the pain. Then he would literally squeeze them very hard, trying to move them around and soften them up. That at that time was the worst pain you could imagine. He was trying not hurt me but there was no way around it. Then after awhile they came up with this device. You would put this around your breast and pull it as tight as you could stand. You would put this on and wear it under your clothes for a couple of hours. Of course you would not wear it out. I finally quit going to him. Then all this scare about silicone came out. Leakage problems, how dangerous the silicone was to your body, amongst other things. I talked with a lawyer group that said to get in on this lawsuit. I did, then they sent me to a few different doctors, one about silicone settling in parts of your body. Then to one in Nashville, then St.Louis for removal of them. They sent me to the one in St.Louis. What a jerk he turned out to be. He removed them, and then did a maxtopexy. I had to go back to him several times with problems. He had to do some cutting under the breast for infection. Barely numbed me, and was so rude, when I would cry because it hurt so bad. His nurse would tell me to quit acting like a baby. After that I never went back. I wasn't happy with the way I looked, or felt. Wearing a bra was very uncomfortable. So I made an appointment with another doctor. I wanted to see if he could remove some of the scar tissue that was under my breast. He talked to me about putting in saline implants. The scars, he could do nothing about. I finally agreed to do it. I had to pay 4,400, not counting the surgery center fee. They did o.k. for awhile. I massaged them like I was suppose to, every day. Then after a year or so I started having problems. The pain, hardening around the implant, neck and shoulder pain. But after everything I have been through, I told myself that I was going to have to live with it. Then with my heart problems, I was told I needed a implanted cardiac defibalator (ICD), with pacemaker as well. Well now I have alot of problems with neck, shoulder, and back pain. I don't know how long I can take the pain. But now I can't afford to have them taken out. I had to quit my job, and go on disability. I should have left them alone when I had the silicone ones taken out (finally lesson learned). Thanks for letting me share my story, I hope it will make someone else think twice. It was not worth all I have been through. Beauty is on the inside. Shae
