I just got back from my 6 week follow up…

I just got back from my 6 week follow up with Dr. Tattlebaum. He said I have more laxity than he would like. He said it might still be some swelling, but he does think he can take some more skin. He said we'll wait 6 months to let it heal and see if it improves, and then we can decide if I want to have another surgery. I'm torn, because I don't know if I want to go through all of that again, but I also paid a lot of money for it and want the results to be worth it.

I think your thighs are very shapely. Did you have aggressive lipo before your thigh lift? I also think they will keep getting better and better

Thanks, I didn't have any lipo. I hope you are right, I don't really want to have the surgery again

This was my final of 3 skin removal surgery…

colleenway
This was my final of 3 skin removal surgery after massive weight loss, and I am overall happy with the results so far. I had some problems with bleeding after the surgery, but I was well taken care if my Dr. Tattlebaum and hus staff. My legs will never be as skinny as I would like, but the sagging skin that jiggled when I walk is gone. The results are the least dramatic of all my surgeries, but the recovery wasn't too dificult. I think of all my surgeries my arm lift was actually the worst pain wise. I don't know if I would recommend this surgery yet, but I would absolutely recommend Dr. Tattlebaum.

I went back to work yesterday, 3 weeks post…

I went back to work yesterday, 3 weeks post op. I'm a restaurant manager, so I'm on my feet/running around a lot. The pain wasn't too bad, one leg doesn't hurt at all, the other leg that I had all the draining from feels more like an annoying discomfort than a pain. I think 3 weeks off work was a good amount of time for this surgery. I originally planned for 2 weeks off, but there is no way I could have gone back at 2 weeks.

The good news is the draining from my leg finally stopped. It hasn't drained at all in 3 days, so I'm pretty sure it is done now. All that bleeding was annoying and a little scary, but Dr. Tattlebaum was very good about aftercare. He or his office called me everyday to check in. I think the hematoma happened because I was way too active after surgery. At 1 week post op I was going to the grocery store and cleaning the house like nothing had happened. I would urge anyone who has this surgery to take their doctors orders seriously about taking it easy aftet surgery.

Now that the complications have cleared up, I do think I am happy I had the surgery. I won't see the full results for awhile, but there is definately less sag to my thighs. I will just have to make peace with the fact I will never have skinny legs, but at least they don't jiggle as much now.
