48 Yr Old Urinary Incontinence - Los Gatos, CA

First off a great big thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Dr. Castillo’s office at Vital Health Institute. Thank you so much for the excellent service you provide, you all made me feel comfortable to come in and talk about a very embarrassing problem that affects more women than I can say. But no one wants to talk about! Why? I agree it is embarrassing! People either deal with it by wearing pad daily or resort eventually to wearing diapers. I refuse to wear have the need at 48 to wear those daily .
I belong to a big name HMO that does not cover the procedure. I went to see my obgyn first and they gave me many other unsatisfying, (a waste of time/money) alternatives, none of which worked. The treatments they gave me varied from medication, wave therapy and exercises. So at this point paying out of pocket for a procedure that will control leakage and improve my sex life seemed a very small price to pay. I was very apprehensive about going out of my plan due to cost and also because I prefer a female Doctor. However, with that said, desperate times call for desperate measures and I proceeded top\ do my research and wanted the best Doctor available in the Bay Area. That led me to Dr. Castillo. I called and scheduled my consultation for urinary incontinence. I had been noticing an increase in leakage for the last 4 years…not a big amount …just enough to be annoying. Come on gals…. you all know what I’m talking about? The leakage I had been usually when I sneeze, work out, laugh, cough and sometime when I’m walking (with a semi full bladder…let alone a full bladder. My consultation was very nice Dr Castillo pout me at ease and I felt relaxed talking to him. He proceeded to do and he did a very exam and asked me me many questions I was so excited I booked my first session on the spot. I had already done my research before my visit with Dr. Castillo and found that MonaLisa Touch procedure. I learned that it addresses problems without hormones, surgery anesthesia and that the side effects are minimal. I read that it is ideal for women with urinary incontinence, dryness, painful sex due to menopausal, post-menopausal and breast cancer survivors. The MonaLisa Touch treats vaginal atrophy by promoting the recovery of the genital mucosa balance in a safe, painless way, through methods similar to those used to treat aging facial skin. I really was excited to learn this because I am a big fan of Lasers. I have had many facial laser treatments in the past with excellent results. (Fraxel & Matrix) The MonaLisa Touch Laser’s effect on vaginal mucosa tissue stimulates the production of collagen and improves functionality of the treated area and restores proper blood flow reversing the effects of vaginal atrophy. Fractioned beams of light penetrate areas of tissue creating small wounds in the epithelial layer of the vaginal mucose and this will stimulate collagen production. From my own personal experience the treatment was virtually painless,I had 3 treatments each lasting about 5 minutes and I also opted for the plus O shot(additional addition fee for Oshot). My pain level was very low I had little to no pain or swelling (which was explained to me that that might be occurring and last that lasts up to a couple days’ days) I did feel a bit more of pressure/pain with the shot but it was tolerable and soooo worth it. LOVE ME SOME O-SHOT!!! The O-shot uses my bodies own platelet rich plasma (which delivers growth factors that allow for rejuvenation of tissue nerves, and vascular structures which to improve sensation & strengthen orgasmic response. I first noticed no leakage after the 1st initial treatment anout 3 weeks later. At first it thought it was not working well enough, then I realized I have not used panty liners which I normally use daily. I was ecstatic because that was exactly what I was hoping for. It has been now about 6-8 weeks after my 3rd last session and the O shot… and let me tell you it is a life changer!!! No leakage at all and improved SEX LIFE!!!!
