I had juvederm ultra plus injected in tear troughs years ago. Recently I had noticed ridges (not sure what to call them) under both eyes that looked worse when smiling. Two RN's had told me that the ridges were juvederm but they did not feel comfortable injecting hyaluronidase and advised that I go back to the doctor who injected it or see a plastic surgeon. The doctor who originally injected me years ago wanted me to have biopsies in these areas and I did not feel comfortable with that. Another plastic surgeon in my town wanted to inject under one eye and then the other eye the following week and I wasn't comfortable with that either. I called Dr. Liu and asked if I could get a consultation with him since I was already going to see him for my cellfina followup. During the visit he said that he would inject a small amount and then we would go from there. So two weeks later off I went driving an hour and a half each way to see Dr. Liu and I'm very glad I made the trip. Immediately after the injection I could see a difference. I initially thought that my left side needed more, but he told me that I should gently massage that area. It's been two weeks since and there has been additional improvement in the area. I'm very happy with the results. I have posted a before pic and will try to post an after pic soon.

Well, the hyaluronidase didn't really fix anything, but my left side went back to normal after a while. My right side is still similar to how it was after the filler injections - gray and discoloured. I've been to 2 dermatologists with no experience with this, who gave me two different diagnosises and treatments that didn't work.
I'm not at loss of what to do. I don't even know what it is, but I think and hope it might be filler left. All I know is that it's been 2.5 years and it's not going away on its own.
I'm scared to try hyaluronidase in case it's something other than filler and I make it even worse.
I just don't understand why I'm having this discolouration under my eye that doesn't go away..
I can't feel anything in the area, my skin is just grayish. I don't know whether there is volume increase as there is still lack of volume which I wanted to fix initially, so there's no way to "see" the filler other than assuming the gray hue is from filler.
This is such a nightmare..
I don't get why some people melt and others don't.
