I am just about 6 months out from having a breast reduction, lift and removal via liposuction of accessory breast tissue under my arms. I'm 30 years old and had wanted this surgery since I was in my teens. I met with a couple of other doctors, but felt Dr. Lepore really understood what I wanted.
My main concerns were reducing my size while still having my chest look perky, full and appropriate for my age/body size. Basically, even though I wanted a smaller chest, I still wanted them to look great. Prior to the surgery, Dr. Lepore was very informative about how the surgery would take place and what to realistically expect. We discussed my options and decided upon tacking some of my breast tissue at the top of my breast to create more "top pole" fullness to retain the full perkier look. I am so happy I did.
Note that if you are looking for a doctor that will assure you that you will look "fabulous" post-surgery, don't go to Dr. Lepore (actually, you might want to reconsider what type of doctor you are looking for). Dr. Lepore is going to tell you exactly what to expect and, as with any responsible doctor, he is going to explain that he can't guarantee exactly how your body is going to handle the surgery. However, he will tell you that he'll do everything in his power to make the results come out the way you want. In fact, my results came out beyond my expectations.
My surgery was in his personal surgical center, which is top notch. I was pretty terrified beforehand and he and his staff did everything to try and keep me relaxed. Jane managed the business part of the process - she is so sweet and awesome. Debbie was my day of nurse. She has years of experience as a labor and delivery RN so she clearly has dealt with anxiety-ridden women that are about to go through one of the scariest parts of their lives. I honestly can't say enough about her - she is amazing and I wish I could hire her to be my nurse when I have a child.
Jennifer (works at the front desk) has been wonderful as well. I didn't interact with her much prior to my surgery, but she's helped me a few times since. When I had my stitches out, I was still on quite a bit of meds and the seriousness of the recovery had set in. I was close to tears at that point and Jennifer was so great at calming me down. She took the time to talk with me and understood what I was going through.
Post-surgery my results are freaking amazing. I have never loved my chest, and I was very skeptical that I would actually love it after the surgery. I can totally say I LOVE my chest now. I went from a 32E to a 32Cish. Yes, I have scars, but Dr. Lepore did a beautiful job at trying to minimize their appearance. I even needed to call him at 8:00pm on Valentine's Day night re: a spot I was concerned about - he was so kind on the call and took a great deal of time to ease my concerns and answer any questions I had.
Overall, I am so very happy with my results and I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Lepore to anyone looking for a cosmetic surgeon.
