Due to breathing complications I decided to have surgery on my nose. I ended up needing a septoplasty and turbinate reduction. I figured while they're there, why not due a rhinoplasty too. To be honest, I have never really hated my nose, however I do think my nose is too big for my face.
After doing a ton of research, I settled with Dr. Hamilton. I scheduled my Skype consultation with him since I don't live in California. The second he started talking, he put my mind at ease. He explained the procedure, what he felt like was needed for my nose, and completely made me feel comfortable. He even offered to look at recommendations by other doctors; even if I didn't schedule with him to do my surgery!!!! That alone let me know he had my best interest at heart.
Our consultation was for an hour. After the consultation, two days later I received an email from his office with a quote. I expected a high cost amount since he had such a great reputation, but because I was having three procedures done, I felt his pricing was really reasonable. I paid my deposit same day.
The coordinators in his office are great! They answered all my questions, explained the process, and even let me reschedule my surgery twice because of complications with another surgery (not nose related). My surgery is scheduled for September 19th.
Overall these are the things I wanted for my nose, besides the ability to breathe properly.
* I wanted a more refined girly nose. Again, don't hate my nose but would like the "celebrity touch".
* I wanted to reduce the tip, bring in my nostrils and make them match more (look at the pictures one nostril is bigger than the other). That's it.
* Dr. Hamilton mentioned removing the little hump, raising the tip slightly, and he said my nose was slightly crooked (when looking underneath) and to make it straight. He was conservative and natural with his previous clients and that is the number one reason why I chose him.
* I am on the fence about removing the hump on my nose since I think it would look more natural to have it, but I'm also concerned I would regret not doing it later on. Will let you know what I decided on the next post.
I know each nose is different and must match the face of the person it belongs to but if I could snap my finger and have anyone's nose, it would be Kerry Washington. I think her nose is perfect. Will post again after the surgery.

Pre-Op Appointment and Day of Surgery
csw9084September 20, 2017
My pre-op appointment with Dr.Hamilton went great! A staff member took a ton of pre-op photos and then I met with Dr. Hamilton. He is a great person and great doctor. We discussed my pre-op photos and he had me point out what I liked and didn't like which was spot on what he noticed as well. He even showed me a somewhat simulated after photo so I could see the difference of what we talked about. Furthermore, he examined my nose for the septoplasty and the turbinate reduction. He was great!
Surgery was scheduled for 7am. I arrived and was met by the nicest nurse. She explained what was happening my took me back for surgery prep. I changed into the awkward open back gown, got vitals done, and had my IV put in. The anesthesiologist told me to think of a place I want to go, rolled me into the operation room, and I was out.
Woke up back in my room feeling pretty nauseous. Unfortunately, I don't react well to anesthesia. I was nauseous and vomited a couple times before I left there. That was pretty consistent for the rest of the night when I got back to the Airbnb. Again, that is my reaction to anesthesia so yours might be different.
Today has been better. Eating, taking meds, and luckily no bruising on my eyes like I expected. Nose doesn't hurt too bad, more uncomfortable than anything else. What I can see of the changes Dr. Hamilton made to my nose, looks great!

Thanks Confidence_Restored! It was a quick simulation to show side by side comparison of the changes. I'm a visual person so it helped a lot.
