Rhinoplasty I Septoplasty: Great Experience! - Los Angeles, CA

Dr. Shemirani was the last doctor I had planned to have a consultation with. I was consider going elsewhere and my boyfriend said I should check out at least one more doctor. So I booked a consultation with Dr. Shemirani and I knew right away he was The One! Everyone in his office was extremely kind. Dr. Shemirani himself listened to all my concerns and told me what he could do to help me fix my nose. I had fractured my nose several years earlier in a freak accident, then I had almost broken it a second time a few years later (it wasn't broken the second time, but it looked broken; I had the black eyes and all the swelling) so my nose was pretty damaged. I had a deviated septum and the damage had caused a bump in my nose where the bone had fractured as well as a crooked nose. I had already had a big nose, but after that I had a big, crooked nose with a hump on it. The deviated septum also affected my breathing. Dr. Shemirani corrected my deviated septum and made my nose straight again! He also removed the bump in my nose and everything looks natural which is what I love the most. I have received so many compliments on my nose. And I can breathe so much better! :) I was scared before and after the surgery but it was definitely worth it! It's definitely improved my appearance and breathing.

The surgery went well. I did not handle the anesthesia well and I don't even remember how long my surgery was because I was kind of out of it. For the first few days I was very nauseous and didn't eat and slept a lot. I was in some pain for the week after, but I did not look too bad. Honestly I looked worse after I fractured my nose a few years ago than post-op. After the surgery my nose was VERY swollen and looked piggy-like and I was terrified it would stay like that but after a few weeks the swelling subsided and I LOVE my new nose. My nose is still healing after 4 months but the swelling has gone down drastically. So don't freak out if it takes a few weeks to look better. I knew that there would be swelling, but I guess I underestimated how much there would be and that it would make my nose look like a snout for a few weeks. I was kind of scared. But it definitely went down and my tip dropped and I was so happy about that. I honestly feel like each week it gets better and better. I'm really grateful I had such a positive experience overall. Worth every penny.
