pixel ruined my life - Los Angeles, CA

Pixel was the single worst choice I've ever made....
$400
Pixel was the single worst choice I've ever made. Since getting procedure my skin has been slowly falling apart. I have been severely depressed since. My skin used to have mild scarring. After one treatment I saw horrible results and stopped, thank goodness. Any help, insight or support is helpful. Hang in there and NEVER EVER get this done.

I had it done and had the opposite experience. I'm sorry you had a bad time...I'm mostly concerned that you said your skin is falling apart, it ruined your life, and you've been depressed. For what it's worth from a total stranger, if the attached pictures are of you, you look great to me! It doesn't appear in those photos that there is anything wrong...just a few extremely mild scars--milder than mine and I'm actually happy with the result!
I just wanted to tell you that--because maybe you are seeing yourself under a much harsher microscope than outsiders do. I hope you feel better about it, but if you don't, I'm sure you could see a different cosmetic dermatologist who can help you with the areas you don't like. Good luck!
Thank you very much for the kind words, it's just a difficult process.
My heart breaks for you. I have the same scaring from fractional Co2. This past year has been a nightmare :/
I had a fraxel done a long time ago and would never do it again....an X scar on my lower chin and that is a reminder to me....I do have to say that this doctor...yes...doctor was talking the whole time with her asst. and not paying attention. She hit me in the same area 3 times which created the scar...the third time I said ouch and told her to move on with the laser and that she had burned me. Idiot to say the least. Who you go to makes a big difference...this was the first fraxel in the area...and she had it and thought she had a captive audience.
I sorry for what you are going through. For what it is worth you are still lovely but I understand your sadness. This should not have happened to you. Can I ask if you went to an experienced doctor, a nurse or an aesthetician? i am still interested in lasers despite the problems I am reading about but my issues are much worse than yours so worth the gamble to me.
The same thing happened to me. I waited 6 month to make sure my face had completely healed then started doing Tca peels. My skin texture is much better now and all my shallow scars are gone. I hope this help you.
I just did a tca peel last night. I have texture issues, not from lasers but from a chemical peel gone wrong. What concentration did you use?
I do my peels at home. Please start on a low percentage then work your way up. I started on 12.5%, 2 layers, 5 minutes apart. Them moved to a 25% because my skin seems to really like tca. I only applied one layer of 25% the fist time. Now I do 2 layers of 25% for best results. I would never go any higher than that. I don't use retin a or anything else pre treatment to make the peel go deeper. My skin can't tolerate retin a but responds really well to tca.
Bigbubbles, much thanks. And can you tell me how often you do them?
I done a peel every two months until I was happy with my skin. I now do one every six months for maintenance. It takes me 10 to 14 days to completely peel so you may need to take some time off work. I don't use makeup during this time just a bland moisturizer at night and a good sunblock in the day.
My peeling will be completed in the next couple days which will be exactly one week of downtime. No I would not have been able to work looking like this. So far I am thrilled with the results in fact my crows feet are completely gone and they were quite deep! Thank you for your input
Awesome. Where do you get these tca peels
