Dr. Srour Did an Incredible Job on My Revision Rhinoplasty - Los Angeles, CA

I had my primary rhinoplasty with a different Dr. in 2010 and wasn't happy with the results. Although it was an improvement from my wide/bulbous original nose, it was still very flawed and not what I wanted at all. He left it too long and downturned. It was an unfinished (half-@$$) job and I wasn't going to settle for that result.
For as long as I can remember, I wanted a very feminine, shorter and slightly upturned nose. It was one of my goals in life (a dream actually lol). I felt so discouraged after my first rhinoplasty, but knew I would find the right Dr. some day who could give me what I wanted. It took me 5 years to find Dr. Srour, and he gave me my dream nose! The surgery only took about 35 minutes and was very easy/painless. The recovery was a little uncomfortable because of packing, bad bruising and swelling, which I didn't expect at all since he only worked on my tip. But most importantly, there was zero pain and I did not take any pain meds.
I believe that Dr. Srour deserves more credit and rave reviews for his great work. He is extremely talented and since he is an artist, you can absolutely trust that he has a good eye for beauty. He can come across as serious and stand-offish, but he really knows his stuff and that's what matters! I recommend him to anyone for rhinoplasty without any doubt or hesitation at all. He is also extremely affordable compared to other Drs. in the area. As over the top as this sounds...I really feel like he gave me my life and confidence back. I never felt like myself after my primary rhinoplasty and would go through some on and off periods of self-doubt and depression. I now feel relieved, relaxed and I'm a much happier person.
I highly suggest bringing pics of the noses you like to the consultation and surgery day. That's what I did, and I feel like that helped a lot because often times what you describe to someone verbally, isn't what they imagine. With the pictures, we were both on the same page.

Do you have thick skin? did he use any grafts?
July 5, 2015
Yes I have thick skin. And no, he didn't use grafts. I needed to reduce cartilage, not add.

I looks good.

omg. I meant to say IT looks good. You should be so happy. I wish I had been as lucky.

I wasn't lucky my first time around though, but I feel very blessed now. You will find the right doctor too :)

Your nose looks really good! Did you like it right after the surgery, or did it still appear a bit projected immediately following the procedure? Did you feel any concerns that there wasn't enough change? If so do you remember how long before you really saw a difference with projection. I also just had my tip done and it has been 11 days. I like my nose better for sure but am worried it still looks a bit projected and not too different. Thanks!

Thank you and good question! I noticed a huge difference in the profile right away, but I thought the front looked enormous and I looked like I got punched in the nose. I had to keep reminding myself that it's just swelling and sure enough, it's getting smaller by the day. I still have a long way to go because it feels so swollen, sore and hard still. But at this point, I can say I like the profile and the front. Congratulations on your nose! If you have any concerns, don't worry too much because swelling really does mask the shape.

Has the tip of your nose changed these past two months?
August 22, 2015
Yes I feel like it's getting thinner and more defined. It also feels much less swollen and most of the swelling is gone. I'll try to post some pics this week

3.5 Months Post Op - Nose is "Shaping" Up
LAGirl2012August 29, 2015
Here are my new pics 3.5 months post op. My nose is definitely getting more refined, especially the front view. I like it so much as is - I really hope it doesn't get any thinner or smaller. Some days, I look and feel more swollen than others, but that's expected. I would say 85% of my swelling has gone down. It no longer feels as hard to the touch as it did 1-2 months post op.
I'm absolutely loving it and am very grateful each and every day for being happy with my results. This revision is the best thing I have ever done for myself in my entire life. Sometimes, I still get very sad thinking about all the time I wasted after my first rhinoplasty and how I was unhappy with it for 5 loooong years. I really wish I had done this sooner. In my opinion, life is just way too short to sit around wishing you could change something. If you have the resources, don't even think twice - just go for it!!
Dr. Srour is awesome and I cannot thank him enough. My confidence and outlook on life sky-rocketed thanks to him.
Best of luck in your search and your surgery to anyone reading this. There's no reason why you can't get the nose you want. Don't ever let any doctor tell you otherwise! If they do, keep looking for one that will help you.

You look great! I had a consult with Dr Srour and I really liked him. He seems really down to earth and nice.

Looks really great! Congratulations! I've waited 20 years with a nose I hate.....finally going to get a revision.
August 30, 2015
Thanks! Omg 20 years?! Do you know who you're going to go to for the revision?
August 31, 2015
Yes...20 years....got busy with life (work, got married, had a child), and didn't focus on my nose. Now my nose is collapsing, and I cant breather out of the right side, so it's time to fix it, both functionally and aesthetically. Not sure yet who I'm going to for the surgery, and I need many grafts, so Im quite nervous.
Congrats again on a beautiful result!

Thank you. I'm so sorry to hear about your nose collapsing and the breathing issue. I wish you the best of luck with your future surgery.

Wow! What a difference! It looks great.

This makes me feel happy! Since I got a decent nose job at Dr. Srours and negative reviewers dont post any photos... positive reviewers dont post pictures... but you have! thank god! I am worried every day about the swelling but will wait about 3 months and hopefully it will look nicer and more refined :)

Glad to hear my post is helping! My nose looked so round and huge from the front view after surgery, but now it's thinner and normal. Don't panic! It took a few months for the swelling to go down.
November 24, 2015
at first I thought it was uneven and Dr. Srour just told me that I could push on the side that is a little more swollen than the other. I actually freaked out and wondered if I ruined my face and then looked at his negative reviews... omg... Now it seems to be healing better but still round and swollen from the front. Im not even a full month post op so I guess I gotta stop panicking. He seems to usea few unusual techniques than most other surgeons do which is why I wondered!
November 24, 2015
If you do massage that side, do it very gently. I was taping for 4 months post op - it really helps! Yea, not worth panicking. I saw your photos and you look great. Your nose looks way more defined than mine did at 1 month.
Anyway it's super cute.
