I am terrified and excited but have been wanting a breast augmentation for quite awhile now. I am quite picky and have done extensive research and have been to several consultations and finally found a doctor that I feel confident about and put my faith in. I have yet met him to talk about sizes and my surgery date is in about a week! Any ladies have any opinion on what might work for me? I want the natural look but I also like some side boobs. My breast width is 13-14.5 inches. I am contemplating between mod plus and high profile, and also between 400-500cc. Have any ladies gotten gummy bear silicone implants? What are your thoughts on those? Any Preop & post op tips? Thanks!

I do not think you need any augmentation whatsoever. However, if you are insistent on doing so, the better option would be to find a competent fat transfer surgeon. If done properly, the result is 100 percent natural and permanent.

Aw thanks love, that is what most people have told me as well, but like many I feel that it will give me a slight confidence boost lol thanks for the suggestion

Understand wanting breast augmentation, I went from A to B cup and love it. I've looked at many reviews of augmentation and reduction and it seems as if many people like going only 1 cup size up, especially if they are active sports women. There will be more "sag" as you get older. I'm sure you will make a great choice.

I also agree, most women that regret it are usually the ones that jump from really small to really big. I'll definitely keep that in mind, thanks for the feedback :)

Dr. Kim explained that he puts in a temporary implant during surgery to see what size will give the desired look. I didn’t know how many cc’s I actually ended up with until after surgery though it was close to what he guessed (450/475cc). I would bring in photos of what you want to look like and try not to worry too much. He has an eye for proportions and nailed it!
I would definitely recommend asking Dr. Kim or the girls about gummy bear implants. My results are pretty good so far but I am 2.5 weeks post op and now that swelling is going down I am noticing the slightest rippling in the cleavage area and under the arms. I am only 24 but unfortunately super skinny around my chest with poor skin tone. I think there could be a less chance of this happening with the cohesive gel or with a high profile implant? Also my friend has the anatomically shaped gummy bear implants (not with Dr. Kim) and they look more natural than mine without a bra at this point. I think the only part she doesn’t like is that she can’t push her breasts together very easily to achieve cleavage since the gummy bears are textured and adhere to the surrounding tissues instead of moving around in the pocket.
Also…swelling and the bandages make your boobs look huge after surgery. I freaked out and thought they were too big but it goes down a lot! Also I noticed I was puffy all over my body from the IV fluid.
Let me know if you want to know anything else. You are in good hands and I think your results will be awesome but good luck! ☺

Thanks love! I am definitely considering gummy bear implants since it lasts longer and less chance of cc, however it feels harder. I had to delay my operation bc I was not able to have my medical clearance done on time :( I pretty much rushed booking it to the only available week I had, but now I guess I'll have to wait til summer. I would love to see your progress and results! :)

First off I have to say you look amazing natural!! If I had your breast shape I would have never gotten a b/a. Unfortunately I had tubular breasts and had to get I plans to correct the deformity. I have 250 Mentor cohesive (gummy bear) and they are a nice size for my body, taking me from a b cup to small c cup. They are a bit firmer to the touch than other silicone so be aware of that. You look very trim and fit and since you haven't had children yet, I would be hesitant to go too big. The bigger the implant, the more 'wear & tear' sagging you will have later. You are only 25 so if you have children and gain pregnancy weight and have big implants, you may not like the look and feel of that.... Also, on a small body like yours, the bigger implants will give a more matronly look to your upper body and will visually add weight to you. Not sure if you are active or not but if so, bigger may get in the way and hurt while running, jumping, etc. These are all just my opinions since I am older than you and can only speak from my experience. I am sure whatever you do it will look fabulous!!

I am certain all your research will pay off with great results! You might want to join the March 2016 breast augmentation surgery forum for some support. Looking forward to your updates and seeing your results!
