How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Nightmare surgeon

I don't like bashing people, but I feel that it is my responsibility to inform people of this type of experience. Dr. Gary Takowski is the doctor I had chosen to use. Lets just state the facts minus my opinion so I can let the readers make theirs.
I met with the doctor and during the consultation, I thought I made it pretty clear the size I wanted, and I clearly stated I wanted my implants under the muscle. After listening he suggested 220cc and since I was 18-19 I figured he assessed my desires and that 220cc would provide the results I wanted. It didn't- and you know what? Though it wasn't okay, it was okay. To me at least they are bigger than what they were. I was young. It gave me a B cup instead of a C cup. Anyways- after surgery he instructed me to return in a week for the post op appointment. He told me to leave the bandage and wraps on and do not take them off. I did as instructed. When the week was up, I went back in for the post op and when he unraveled my bandage, the skin on my nipple had been in the bandage so long it developed moisture and caused the skin to get stuck to the bandaid and so, my nipples began to bleed. Basically the skin around the nipple had peeled off and exposed raw flesh, and blood was dripping from one side of it onto the floor. I was shocked and basically freaking out. I was like "oh my gosh oh my gosh!!! Why is this happening?" And he just looked at it with a strange smile on his face, and called his nurse in. The smile remained on his face as he kept squirting me with saline water. He turned to the nurse and asked her "have you ever seen anything like this?" She answered "no" and he laughed and looked at me and said "this looks self-inflicted, and if this is an attempt to sue me, I have very good lawyers" I was shocked, scared, dumbfounded and I was like "omgosh!!! What?! Omgosh can you please just fix this?" At the time I was seriously feeling scared because he didn't even look like he was trying to help me. This is supposed to be a doctor. I always looked at doctors similar to how I look at policemen, with trust and respect, and like they are supposed to be good people. (Give me a break I was 18-19 and very sheltered)
After that I just left and never came back for any appointments because he scared me. I didn't know how to sue anyone or anything, and my parents knew nothing of this at the time.

Now years later, I call to find out the information regarding my implants, and I find out- he ignored my request to place them under the muscle and he placed it over the muscle. Also, the implants are too far apart. Pictures says a million words, so attached you will find this photo. SHOW LESS
