After 10+ yrs of wanting to get a BA, I'm FINALLY doing it! 32AA --> full B/small C
UPDATED FROM cherrybombs
Surgical bra or bandage post-op? What's the difference?
$11,000
I just had a consult with another doctor today and was told that he doesn't use surgical bras post-op but keeps you bandaged for about 4-5 days after and then removes the bandages at the post-op visit. What's the difference between bandages and using a surgical bra? Is one better than the other? And how does either method affect the implants?

I posted a shorter version of this under Q&A, but realized that I actually wanted to post in this section, so please excuse my lack of knowledge in using this site! :( After years and years of thinking about getting a BA, I'm FINALLY going to get them done in a few weeks! Like all women about to undergo this life-altering experience, I’m experiencing anxiety the closer the to the date and am finding it difficult trying to settle on the right implant size. I've gone to 2 different PSs, and they both recommended different implants.
I'm very thin (5’7.5”, 106lbs), with a bony chest area, and relatively little to no breast tissue. I’d like to achieve the size in my inspirational photos, but don't want to look vulgar, like there's a huge gap in between or like I have two "fried eggs" stuck to my chest. Feeling soft is also very important. I only found my goal photos after my consultations, so unfortunately their sizing recommendation isn't based on this. :( I just told them I want to look natural while going as large as possible.
Dr A (3 years ago)
Measured my BWD around 11.7 about 3 years ago. He recommended Allergan Natrelle 240cc low profile and said a low profile implant. It would help “fill in” a little of the cavity in the center of my chest to make it look more natural.
Dr B (recently)
Measured my BWD around 10.5. Can my BWD vary so much between two doctors?? He first recommended Allergan 410, 205cc FM but when I told him I wanted something softer and wasn't sure about the tear drop implant's risk of rotation, he recommended Inspira 240cc medium profile. The implant is something in between Responsive and Soft Touch. (I thought there were only those two). The 240cc was after I shared with him that Dr A recommended this size. He said the low profile would be too wide for me, so suggested switching to a med profile and absolutely refused to consider anything larger, because it would cause rippling. He is also only ordering one implant for the day of surgery, which makes me more nervous, as I understand most PSs will have an array of sizes in the operating room in case you change your mind last minute. He also hasn't physically seen the sizers on me (I only worked with the nurse). I was told it wasn't necessary due to his experience. Is this normal? I've only met with him the once for the consultation, and the second time I went in I met with the nurse to do my Vectra imaging and try on the recommended size.
MY CONCERNS
1. Why is my BWD so different? I’m nervous that one of them wasn’t measured properly which would affect my end result.
2. Will 240cc bring me to my goal photos?
While I do trust my PS's skills and experience, I'm also seeking some comfort and reassurance that I'm making the right implant selection and will be happy with the end result. After reading so many stories on this site, and the great amount of support/encouragement, I would very much value your thoughts and opinions. Thank you in advance!

Hi sweetie would like to see a 3rd opinion fron another doctor? To see whats really your size between the two ..its hard to make decision.its our body of course whatever happens we will be the one who will carry the problem.i am scheduled for my second consultation to the same doctor in thailand and maybe if theres no problem will have my BA the same day...i hope you will not get worries whatever you will decide soon..surgeon,Ps etc etc..goodluck to you:)
Hi, I've also considered looking at having a BA done in Thailand or Korea, but wouldn't know how to go about finding a doctor there. I know medical tourism is very popular and of course, significantly cheaper than in the US! Good luck with yours and please share your experience with your doctor when you have it done.
Hi flatchestie :) I am 5'7.5 and weight 125 - similar to you, (except I weigh a bit more). I was also a 32/34A prior to my BA which I had on October 5th. I went to a very reputable doctor in San Francisco and I absolutely loved her. I am a mom of 2, 37 years old, and wanted to be very natural so I told my dr I wanted a large b. We went with 234cc mentor silicone implants and at 4 weeks out I absolutely love them. I'd say I'm a large b/small c right now. I haven't gone bra shopping yet as I've really just been wearing sports bras and thin bralette since surgery. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that the mid 200 range can add quite a bit of volume for someone tall if you are thin as well - I'm not nearly as thin as you are an I still feel like they make a nice difference. From the looks of your photos, I might be a little smaller than what you're going for, but with you being thinner, the 240 might get you there! Good luck with everything and let me know if you want to chat more!
Thank you SO much for your comment! It does indeed help and it's always nice to hear when women are happy with their results. I'm terrified and the anxiety is increasing as the idea becomes more of a reality! I just want to feel comfortable that I'm going with the right doctor, implant, and most importantly that my post-op recovery will be smooth. I would love to speak with you more about your journey and progress! Thank you!
Good luck. Similar decisions & very nervous. Still not finalized on size but thinking 310cc. Goal is a full B small c.
Thank you! Same to you! I'm beginning to feel more comfortable with my suggested size with each passing day...
Hi sweet thanks for your reply. i think yanhee have a site..that you can always ask i have email of my Ps..and saw here one girl asian also that have a BA with him and turns very well actually i really love the girls cleavage and wanted to show him if i can have it..and many filipino nurses working there that speaks english.they are very friendly and i feel comfortable with them.so i decided to have ot done there.i have no idea in Korea but ive heard also that they do it nice there and really look natural..in thailand its very cheap as my bf says..mine will cost 110,000 baht only..mybe around $3k..thats a good deal to think they did pretty good in there.but heard also some bad story also.i hope mine will turn nicely and natural look..wishing:) in case you wanted to see that sites name is destination beauty..goodluck to us..i hope your feelin better now. and yeah will share my journey here also..:)
Hi, thanks for sharing! I did some research into Thai hospitals like Bumrungrad also. I've decided to do mine in the US. Good luck with yours! :)
Hi thanks..Yeah i think US is still the best..great decision...goodluck to you..hope we will be good after the BA..Tc:)
Hi Hun, I have 240cc, but HP and I'm quite a bit shorter than you, I don't no whether it would help to look at my pics or not, I think 240 would bring you to a full B .. Are you going under or over the muscle? xx
Hi, thanks for sharing your photos. I'm told it will be under the muscle. I'm a little nervous as my surgery is in a few weeks!!! :-/ How are you feeling now several weeks post-op?
