Dr. Hughes is professional and realistic. He is honest and respectful. When I went in for a consultation there were people there that flew from different countries to meet with him. I am lucky to have him 3 hours away. I am completely confident that I will love my results. I am super excited for the big day!!!

My BBL done today
Hi ladies, so i'm on bed rest while i write a review. My surgery went well I haven't been able to see my full result because I'm wearing dressing pads, but I was able to take a peek and I do like the shape. I asked the nurse and he said he was able to get 960cc's to each side so i'm happy about that. The only thing is that I was told during consultation that I would be sized and receive a garment the day of the procedure but I only ended up getting wrapped up in a tummy binder. I had other friends go to different surgeons and they got sized for a garment to cover their back, tummy, buttocks, and thighs. I am concerned about losing my shape due to my buttocks not being held by a garment. I also was told body garments are helpful to tighten the skin after liposuction. Unfortunately I will have to order one; it would have been nice to be told I would not get a body garment to order one in advance and have it on me now.

As far as their service today; my favorite person was the nurse. He was awesome very kind and friendly. The man that does the anesthesia was also nice and caring. The front desk person and the ladies in the surgery room were rude. I got attitude once for asking a question. I had to be the one to say good morning since they would hardly acknowledge me. I can tell Dr Hughes is a good guy that's why I chose him as my surgeon. However he is very short and also did not greet me today or the day of consultation. He seemed tired although I was his first patient and he changed my surgery time from 6:00AM to 7:30AM. I only saw him for 3 minutes for him to take before pictures of me. He can get impatient since I saw him get impatient with his employees both days I saw him. During my consultation because they booked too many for him in one say. During my surgery date because they put my IV before he took the pictures. I was asleep by the time he went in the surgery room then I woke up in the recovery room and the Dr never went in to check on me, make any comment, or say goodbye.

happy healing! I'm sure it's not ideal but try to remember that you're in it for the skill not for the experience :) A lot of girls put a lot of weight behind how nice the surgeon was but kindness doesnt improve the viability of fat or required skill and reputation. Also, I don't understand why nurses have such bad attitudes sometimes. Like, you're not a cardiothoracic surgeon keep your ego in check. Hang in there, boo!

i believe the experience plays a big part of the procedure all together. this is what the page is for to share not only surgeries but experiences as well. it helps many pick doctors. there are many capable doctors of doing outstanding work but if people read bad service reviews they may consider others. at the end the money paid should be worth the full experience surgery results and the way they treat us. my experience was good for the most part but i have had a previous BA surgery with another surgeon that gave me excellent experience. Checking on me after surgery and even calling me that evening to check if i had any questions. I was called through out the week by his nurse to check on me. It feels good to be considered as an important patient not just as any. I chose Hughes because what he performs more are BBL's and i had a good experience it could have been better both times i saw him if he had given me a little even slightly more attention but he is a good surgeon overall. About the staff yes I agree they should be taught to be nicer since they have a good job thanks to patients.

I replied to your comment on my review, but I wanted to add some additional comments here after reading your post.
Dr Hughes does not recommend any pressure to the buttocks AT ALL. So if you did decide to go against what he gave you and purchase a garment, don't get one that has buttock support in it.
Just send him your questions. He's very available to his patients and responds very quickly. Even on weekends and evenings. Trust him.
Please keep me updated on your recovery process! I am excited to hear your results!!!

Oh! One more thing, I bought compression socks for my legs. They started to swell pretty bad on day 3. After having them on for one day, most of the swelling went down.

@gimmethatbooty thanks for your opinion i will e-mail him. i didn't buy a compression garment afterall. i also have compression socks on they help a lot. did you get a BBL done with Dr Hughes? if so how was your healing and after result experience?

I had surgery with Dr Hughes on the 10th. I am experiencing a lot of lower back pain as well. I am guessing that since you were only able to get 960 cc's that you were a little on the thinner side as well. So I am thinking that the back pain might just be from aggressive lower back lipo to create that contour.
I am only wearing the compression socks for now. I am wearing baggy basketball shorts around the house. I don't want to put any pressure on the fat grafts because Dr Hughes kept warning me against it.

sorry @gimmethatbooty i just went on your page to read your response. i will also just stick to wearing the abdomen binder. i e-mailed Dr Hughes to ask if there are any additional things i should buy during the healing process, i'm waiting on a response from him. i chose him because he performs the most BBL's in the area so i also didn't mind the long drive to him. my friends that have gotten BBL's done with other surgeons were questioning why i didn't receive or order a full compression body garment since they did and had to wear it for 6 weeks to tighten the lipo areas of the body again but every surgeon is different and i will do what you're doing and follow his specific instructions. i also have major back pain more than anything but i don't take the pain med often to avoid constipation. extra strength tylenol works well and doesnt constipate you. im glad we're sharing our journey together. what do you wear as far as bottoms do you wear leggings?

I did plenty of research seeking a great surgeon in the LA area until I decided to meet with Dr Hughes. Needless to say after talking to him I scheduled my surgery date right after my consultation. He examined me and told me a realistic and ideal booty shape for me. He allowed me to show him wish pictures and assured me he would do what he could to give me a great look. He gave me a minimal 700cc amount which was good enough for me to go through with the surgery but during surgery I was given 960cc per buttock which made me very happy!
