I had my tummy tuck surgery in January of 2014. I know its been a while, but I thought with time things will settle but after a year I realized that the result was going to be what it is. I first want to say that this is not a review to be overall unfavorable regarding Dr. Greenberg, but more of how the results I got from the surgery was not as I had expected. First I want to point out I did not want or was expecting unrealistic results like having Kate Upton's figure or Brooklyn Decker, although that would've been nice. I like to put a little humor into things to keep the positive side of things present. The results I got were in part about 70/40. 70% goes to how the result was not what I expected, specifically with areas being visibly lumpy and uneven from opposite side. I seem to have lost my curvy waistline and look a little more squarish. The other 30% is favorable to how Dr. Greenberg and his staff treated me during the time of consultation, pre-surgery appointment and after surgery, which was good. However, after my first two appointment with Dr. Greenberg, post-surgery, I did not have scheduled any other appointment six or eight months down the line as my friends have had with their surgeons, as my friends of mine who have undergone the same procedure with other doctors have had. They mentioned to me the doc would review the result at that time as the swelling has completely subsided and he can see what the real results are. They mentioned to me that if anything was amiss, he would know and if anything had to be addressed, that was the time. They were surprised I didn't have that since they both did with different doctors. I was somewhat disappointed that I did not have that follow-up, and admittedly I did not call either to see why, but by the sixth/eighth month I saw that my results were not going to be what I had expected. Of course, I always bear in mind, like the Doc said, that not everyone has results they expected or heals the same, but I knew that my results even if they were different from others in some way, should not have been what they are. On my left side of my tummy above the incision I have a small bump like look and the other side is completely flat. My mid section seems to be a little out and above my right breast, near my rib cage, there is another bump sticking out. My navel was reconstructed during the tummy tuck but the result was that you practically can't recognize its a navel unless you get close, it is not in or even comes close to looking like my former navel and unfortunately it healed kind of darker than my skin tone. I know with time it might get lighter and that is an issue of how your scar heals. Having set aside the scar color, the result of my navel and how it look bothers me a lot that prior to having the surgery,nI was excited to think after my tummy tuck I could go back to wearing a two piece bathing suit, but unfortunately because of the result of my navel and other issues, I have not. I also was not pulled tight enough that when i exercise and go on all fours to do my plank exercises there is still sagging skin, or skin hanging down as if either my muscles were not tighten enough, or my skin not pulled enough, although not as bad as before, but still visible, not tight at all. When standing in front of mirror I still notice some saggy skin on my right side above my incision. It seems like I look 3 months pregnant in my upper mid section. Not flat at all. My husband too believes that I should have had a better result than what I have, considering I was not overweight whatsoever, I am petite and still had a curved waist line (hourglass), I have not gained any weight post surgery still weigh the same 105 pounds I did pre-surgery. I also could have used a little more liposuction in the flank area I think because when I put on jeans or pants that are true sized in my waist a little of the muffin top is coming out, something that really never happened before. My problem was in my entire mid section, especially around and above my navel where the stretch skin was. Last year after my husband kept pushing me, since he saw me at times visibly disappointed, I consulted with another surgeon. Of course he did not discredit the doc in any way but he did mention, considering that I was of great weight, my body frame was petite and prior to surgery seemed to have had a smaller waist as he saw in a picture prior to the tummy tuck, I should have had a very different result. He pointed out that it seemed that my problem was entirely my mid section where the muscles had become loose causing the sagging, but the sagging was no where near worse than what he has had to correct. He mentioned that his approach would be to concentrate in the mid section tightening the muscles more, have a little more liposuction in the mid section and flanks, contouring the waist and stretching down more to have a more tightening effect. He also told me he would have performed a smaller incision. In fairness, he reiterated that each doctor approaches things differently and therefore getting possibly different results. Also, he does not know how visually in person the pre-surgical tummy site was, so Dr. Greenberg may have had a different perception as to the approach. But he did reiterate that he felt my result should have been completely different. I would like to do a revision but frankly doing it the first time was such a hard decision for me because of the anesthesia, procedure and post-surgical healing, that having to do it again, really makes me nervous. I don't want to say to others that my results would make me tell anyone not to see Dr. Greenberg, but I would advise to make sure you follow-up with him post-surgery as soon as you feel dissatisfied with something from your results or that if the result was entirely what you had not expected considering that it might come at least close to. Unfortunately for me mine was entirely what I had not expected. I know I should have addressed this with Dr. Greenberg as soon as I saw something wrong, but I guess in some way I did not want to hear that this was the result I can expect realistically regardless if any other surgeon would have done the procedure. I know its not true and I didn't feel comfortable even if he agreed to do the revision with him again. I am still considering doing the second surgery, although its been six months since the revision consultation. I just don't know how to put the fear aside and do the procedure. Notwithstanding my experience, I want to say that Dr. Greenberg is very pleasant and his office staff is very personable and make you feel comfortable. I have seen his before and after pictures and many of his patients have seem to have had very good results. Unfortunately, I was not one of them, not even close to it.

Dr. Greenberg was extremely pleasant, explained the procedure well, advised on how he would perform the surgery and what areas. Follow-up after the first two post-surgery appointments ceased. No calls from office to follow-up after six or eight months post-surgery. Otherwise, I did like Dr. Greenberg a lot, just wish I would have had a better result, but unfortunately will need a tummy tuck revision.
