For the last 10 years I've been wanting to get rid off the fat on my neck and improve my face's profile, so I did my research and decided to go with Dr. Jacono. And 2 weeks ago I had it done at his Long Island facility. My experience from my first consultation, till my 2nd revision yesterday has been outstanding, Dr. Jacono and his staff are very warm, and knowledgeable.

On my first visit I had several photos taken by Dr. Jacono's staff right before my consultation with the Dr. Once in his office, I told him what I wanted to have done and the Dr. explained the available options, including the types of implants and different anesthesia methods. I decided to go with the silicone implant and neck lipo, done under local anesthesia.

Once I've made the surgery appointment his office sent me a package with all the pre and post surgery instructions, along with the prescriptions for the painkillers and antibiotics needed after the surgery.

The surgery didn't take longer than 50min for both procedures. Since it was done under local anesthesia I was able to just stand up and dress by my self right after he was done. I went home, and took the painkillers only for the first 16 hours. I would compare the overall discomfort to having your wisdom teeth removed, but no more than that. I was completely surprised by how well I felt the morning after the surgery, when I went back to changes my original bandages into a lighter more comfortable one. That day the Dr. took a quick look and told me to go back the following week so the nurse could remove the stitches.

Exactly 5 days after, I went to have the stitches removed by the nurse, 5 days after that (10 days after surgery) I was out having dinner with friends and everyone told me how good I looked, even with the residual swelling. What surprised people the most was how discrete the scars were. Not noticeable at all, even with the little scabs I still had. The chin implant was still unevenly swollen, yet no one noticed I had it done, they all think I only had the lipo, which is great!

2 weeks after surgery (yesterday) I went to have my first complete revision by the Dr. At this point everything looks like is healing perfectly. The stitches behind my ears feel a bit bumpy, but you can't really notice them unless you touch them, and the Dr. says they'll come down in a couple of weeks. The stitches under the chin are really hard to see, even-though I still have a bit of the numbness and very little swelling on the left side. After the revision the Dr. asked me to go back to check on the progress in 4 weeks, at that point we'll re-discuss the possibility of changing the implant, as I'd like to have it a bit wider, for a more masculine shape, but I'm not sure yet as I'm very pleased with the overall results. The scars' healing has been my favorite part, they're so discrete, specially the one under the chin, almost impossible to see.

Once I have my final revision in 4 weeks, I will update you on the final results, and whether or not I decide to go with a wider implant. I will also upload the before and after photos.

I definitely recommend Dr. Jacono for any facial surgery. So far, 4 people I know (including my partner) are interested in becoming Dr. Jacono's patients.

I still have some unevenness (seems like it is swollen) on the left side of the chin. The Dr. Told me it will come down, and to see him again in 3 weeks. Once I do it I'll post the before and after photos.
