3 weeks post op

Today is exactly 3 weeks since surgery….still have 1 drain in….blisters are improving..one leg I was able to remove the ace bandage and letting the new skin get used to being unprotected. I have another doctors appointment tomorrow…I'm feeling frustrated because I have not progressed as fast as I thought I would…however there is improvement so I'll just have to be patient.

1st Post Op

Went to my first post op yesterday…developed really ugly and painful blisters on my hips and thighs from binder. Have to keep them covered with surgical dressings and ace bandages and then leggings. The P.A. says all looks great…had 1 drain and pain pumps removed…the other drain has to stay for possibly another week. I feel better now that I've been at the doctors office.

Surgery done!

my surgery was on 12/17…I had to stay in the hospital overnight…I couldn't wake up from the anesthesia and I was lightheaded. Nurses were great! Not so much pain but really sore…I have a new kind of pain pump works pretty well. I am really swollen! I look like the michelin man! OK its time for a nap.
