I would never recommend Sculptra.
I had a nightmare outcome and it still haunts me.
It went into my tear duct and i had to have reconstruction of my tear duct. I had to have a stent put in for 6 months with painful flushing of the tear duct after surgery.
Till this day when i blow my nose i get pressure in the eye like my eye is going to pop out.
Run as fast as you can from this product..
My husband i snow totally against any procedure because of this nightmare

Wow, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've read Sculptra is not recommended for under the eyes.
When did you have the procedure done and how much was injected?

I had Sculptra over 3 years ago and I see a gel like film covering part of my eyes. Did yours look like a gel? This is really freaking me out.

I did not have injection in eye, but rather in jaw and upper cheaks. one vial only. developed granulomas in jaw, then six months later the product migrated into lower eye area from cheek area. ended up with chronic swelling and bruising under both eyes. over 3 years later is still migrating upwards closer to eye sockets, will be going for second surgery for biopsy. Some days I can barely see. My surgeon found that the sculptra indeed had migrated to under eyes. (he was not the injector) Now I have a hard granuloma on outer side of eye that is painful that comes and goes. All due to one treatment of sculpra. I could potentially go blind my surgeon says if it keeps migrating. This is like putting glass in your face. and it does move around! don't believe what they tell you. My surgeon has photos showing it has moved. Worst mistake of my entire life was this at age 48. Please surgeons, do the right thing, stay away from this product. Think of your family members who may fall for it. I don't care who injects it, it is too unpredictable.

I've seen on a few sites where the word bio film keeps coming up associated with Sculptra. Do yo know about infection?
March 13, 2016
A biofilm is basically a colony of bacteria that attaches itself to any foreign body that is in the body a long time. All fillers have the potential for biofilm infections, but the longer lasting ones are more prone to this problem, obviously because they last so long.

I had it in 2009. It's everywhere on me. Mine has migrated through my body. First it was face. Then neck, breast, stomach, legs, tops of feet and my back. I can tell when an area is going to break open by the madding itching I have. I have a pathology report from A very reputable hospital stating is, in fact Sculptra coming out of my body. It has ruined my life. I'm always in pain and I don't think they will ever stop coming out. Doctors on here told me it would be out of my system in two years..not true. They said it would not migrate to other parts of my body, again not true! This drug, "device" as the FDA likes to call it was not tested enough on healthy people before being put in the hands of plastic surgeons who were not trained properly or enough on how to administrate this drug.from all I've been told the reason for Sculptra was to help fill in the faces of AIDS patients at the end of their lives so they would not look so drawn up. It was never intended to be used for healthy people. There were never enough studies done on this drug. To my knowledge, there is no cure for stopping these things from coming out of me. If anyone knows a doctor who may know how to help me...PLEASE, PLEASE contact me!
I hope and pray yours does not go as far as mine and someone will start working in a cure.

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this as well. Where did you have your injections?
Oh my goodness! It actually came out of your eye? I can only imagine how scary that must've been!
