Awful Tear Trough Augmentation Experience
sam2093April 30, 2019
This is an update on a year long treatment process for under eye bags. I first went to Marotta's office last year in April for tear trough augmentation. He used a very harsh and painful technique to administer the filler. He would painfully press on my face and use sharp jerking motions when placing the filler. At the time it was my first experience and thought that was normal. After visiting a different injector I have come to find out that Marotta's methods are awful. It does not have to be painful or aggressive, the only thing that causes is serious bruising that I experienced for over a week.
I returned in January for a touch up as I wasn't fully satisfied with the results of the belotero Marotta suggested PRP injections for under eye. I admit I should have done more research but that is why I am writing this extensive review, for others who may be in my situation.
PRP injection is not made for under eye, it is your own blood that you are injecting to a very sensitive area. It was no surprise I suffered for almost 3 weeks with intense black eyes. After they settled down I still had permanent bruising under one eye and uneven results.
Moral of the story:
PRP injections for under eye left me battered and bruised. It was an awful and painful experience that I don't hope for anyone. It left a permanent bruise under one of my eyes furthering discoloration. I recently visited a different injector and discovered Marotta's injecting techniques are barbaric, forceful, and unnecessarily painful. I experienced such severe discomfort I had to be laid back after the procedure. He did not even wait until I was sitting upright to speak to me again or say goodbye. His office did not respond to emails for weeks that until I persisted. I have spent hours in that waiting room and have never complained. I am so disappointed after being a regular patient for almost a year. I will NEVER be coming back. Do your research, do not trust a doctor just because of their practice or degree.
