I went to two different places for my laser hair removal,

The first place I went was a day spa, the technician was very nice, pretty informative, she talked me into purchasing a bundle of sessions, I purchased 6 treatments for full bikini, face and areola for about 2000 total, and they let me make payments on what I couldn't pay in full, after those 6 treatments, which didn't hurt at all, maybe a rubber band snap once in a while, I only saw about 10-15% of hair loss, it made it a little easier to shave but not the result i was looking for. I have very fair skin and dark hair so I expected a more exciting result.

Later on I saw an ad on groupon for another place that was offering 6 sessions for a small area for $150 so I decided to purchase it and have my underarms treated. i went there and told them about the other areas I've already had treated, they told me they would honor the 'touch up' prices the other spa offered me so I said I would think about it(not sure yet if I was going to leave the other place) Once they treated my underarms the first time I didn't have to shave for over a month, it was incredible. The tech told me that they like to treat more aggressively so their patients see a result quicker, it did hurt more (but far less painful than waxing) Im assuming the first place I went treated slowly to keep you coming in and spending money... So my next visit, I had them treat all 4 areas and I saw such an improvement I started pushing my appointments out further because there just wasn't anything to treat.

However, once it would get to about 3 or 4 months I would notice more growth so that is when I would go in for a touch up. This summer I was too tan to treat so I decided to hold off on my appointment and unfortunately it seems like all my hair has come back, its been about 5 months since my last treatment. Im a little disappointed to see that it is defiantly not a permanent solution, I will have to go in for touchups for every few months to maintain the smooth hairless results I had. When I do keep up on it I am pleased to say that I only need to shave away sparse blonde hairs once a month.

hope this helps anyone seeking information

Hi there, welcome and thanks so much for sharing your experience with us!

I always thought this was a semi-permenant procedure, meaning you maybe go for a touch up 1 per year. Did the clinic mention anything about timing and having to do this a few times per year forever, to keep the results?

I had the same experience,,,every 3 months I have to make another appointment, especially, for the Brazilian. Much less hair grows back on my lower legs but the bikini/Brazilian hair is more difficult to remove. Anyone have better results,,,if so, what equipment was used????
