The Day After Vaser
Yesterday I felt uncomfortable unless I was lying down with my legs raised totally still. Today I can function. I took off the compression leggings for the first time and all of the padding. I couldn't believe how much fluid had come out of my legs and on to the bandages. I showered and the incisions look like they are done with leaking, but I put another dressing on them just to be sure. It was so hard to get the compression leggings back on. My skin was all creased from the bandages but I don't seem to have any bruising as yet - so strange as I bruise so so easily. I'm also not particularly swollen - a little around the tops of my legs - but nothing major? Maybe I have got this to come. The tissue on my inner thighs feels slightly lumpy - I'm going for MLD massage today which should help that.
I may be writing this post/review a little too...
I may be writing this post/review a little too soon, as today was the date of the procedure.
I didn't sleep well at all, was totally exhausted, and feared the unknown. Could I cope with the pain, and the aftercare were both real fears for me. I'm comfortable and back on my sofa. Wouldn't even known my inner thigh was touched - the main pain I feel right now is in my calves. I will know more about the pain when the anaesthetic wears off. The worst part of the procedure is the local anaesthetic being put in. The rest is just weird and a little uncomfortable - all of it is totally do-able. There were three nurses in today- and all easy to talk to, totally comfortable. Do wear in baggy clothes. I walked out looking like the Michellin man. I took a sedative an hour before it began. Drink lots of fluid and don't panic over it the way I did - it's not that bad! I have lymphatic drainage booked for tomorrow evening.
I do know that 700ml of fat was removed - in the bottom of the container there was approx 200ml of blood/fat.- so I don't know exactly how much fat was removed in total maybe 625ml?? I was very sleepy afterwards - I had a friend wait and drive me home. The procedure in total was just under two hours.

Provider Review
I only met with Dr Mike, I had seen fantastic things about him - went to meet him - and felt very comfortable. I was talking myself in to the procedure far more than he was- he told me that yes there were things he could do but that my legs were absolutely fine. On the day he was charming and funny and very calm. I felt in very safe hands.
