Had a PDO thread lift done in April 2015 at a cost of 1000.00 and not only has it not worked as desired it has in fact made my face worse. I did my research and really looked around, I wanted to lift slight jowls to my jaw line, I did not consider I needed anything done to my cheeks, but the Dr put some in my cheeks and along the lower part of my face just above the jaw line, assuring me this would have the best results. It has narrowed my face making me look older and has taken the bloom from my cheeks making me look sallow and sad. I have now had some Dermal filler just below my bottom lip, just to take out lines that were not there before I had the PDO. I took many pictures throughout the process and watched as my face became worse not improved, this was confirmed by friends and family who were upset for me. I returned to the Dr twice and both times she just kept saying it takes time to see the best results, this is rubbish, don't bother, filler is all I needed and I could have saved all that money and done filler.

Can I ask you if you went to a clinic or to a individual Dr. If a clinic, which one?

Hi I went to a clinic, and it was done by the Dr who runs it in London called Esthetique(TM) she was a nice person but has since offered no follow up help, she insists it has worked even tho I no my face better than she does! In fact the left side of my face has lost volume and has sunk in it's completely devastated me because this cannot be fixed unless I spend the rest of my life using fillers.

I went to The Welbeck London Hospital but it doesnt matter where you go. These places just rent the rooms out for a day or so to make money. The Welbeck Hospital London is on the General Medical Council register but the doctor who did the procedure is not. They are ALL criminals.

Hi please can you tell me what brand was used? And how many threads? I am having the siloette soft threads but have been reading lots of bad reviews.

Hi they were PDO threads called Beauty thread lift. I had a combination of non barbed on the cheeks and barbed along the jaw line to pull up the jowls, approximately 10 threads. And I'm very sorry to report they have had a bad effect on my skin. I have lost volume and bloom and have had to have filler to help fix it. I truly wished I had not done it.

Thank you I'm not sure if I want to take the risk now! The clinic you went to is a dentists and they should certainly do all they can to put your face right. I for one will definitely never use them!

I would really think long and hard about it, as there are more bad results than good. The clinic I went to is not a Dentist perhaps you were looking at some one else's post ? it was done by the Dr who runs her own clinic. She even teaches this procedure and really believes in it, or at least she believes in the money she makes!!

Thank you for your review. I have researched this for hours & you are so right in saying there are a lot of unhappy people who have been sold the thread lift X

I think the Dr you are speaking of is next to a dentist practice in the City of London.

It doesn't matter on what thread is used , I have been speaking with different women all have had different threads. PLEASE dont have it done , you will regret it.

I agree , I too had pdo thread lift four threads in each side and at first I reSlly thought there was a huge improvement but then I couldn't smile or move my face as soon as I was able to fully smile about two weeks after my face looked the same , and may I add it was horrific the pain I can't believe these people are saying it's painless it killed me , I was sore and umcomftable for 2 weeks min after and also very depressed , don't waste your money I wish I went threw with having fillers like I wanted until the doctor and not this doc may I add hadn't puswaded me to have the threads instead

A few months ago I went to a few different clinics and they all pushed the thread lift! Although no cosmetic surgeons seem to be recommending it! How is your face now?

HI yes I've since found the same reaction, seems just to be the latest money making venture. I've had some filler done to help, but now feel that will have to be ongoing for some time. The thread treatment set me back face wise when it was advertised to improve. The Dr who has just done filler for me claims thread lift is being pushed at every convention but she is not convinced from many bad reports she has heard, I hope she never offers it, I wont return to her if she does, thanks for your kind concern.

Hopefully if enough people complain it will save others from going thru this. I went back to see the Dr who did mine several times, she just kept telling me to wait. After 6 months I contacted her again and complained but she offered no help. Unfortunately she had me sign a disclosure at the beginning of the treatment which stated that the treatment does not work for everyone. A lesson I have learn 'rt never sign anything! I thought that was procedure everywhere for any medical treatment, so I signed it. I cannot get any refund now.

By reading these comments has stopped me from going through this procedure. At the clinic, they talked about a new machine high intensity focused ultrasound one off treatment. Apparently there is less pain then the original machine, but it hasn't been used too much yet, so not sure about this either. Anyone know about this called skin med?
