Forehead reduction done

$6,800
Hey guys ain't updated in a while but just a quick update to say after the op I didn't really feel much pain but I contracted a nasty chesty cough I think it was due to the anaesthesia well so mr inglefield agreed I could not get through to anyone that same night I was coughing on their 34hr line! But me inglefield called the next day. I returned to work a week later which was naughty and I wore wigs to early which rubbed on my wound a bit I smoked and drink throughout my healing process which was so dumb! But I still healed kind of quick I'm not happy with the scar but I don't regret the surgery my hair has gone thin at the front which is upsetting but I knew the risks! If your of Caribbean decent like me the scar and hair will b more of an issue compared to Caucasians I can now hide the scar with makeup it's only slightly visible but I'm really hoping its fades more very soon as I don't want to keep wearing a headband! Anyway don't be naughty like me follow all instructions and attended all appointments! The staff were nice but did not hear from them after the procedure! Good luck to anyone having this done!

Thanks for the update - how is the scar looking now? Is it very visible ? I am of African descent so worry about the same thing x
Hi I'm an African American woman who had this surgery done with Dr. Gal Aharonov in Beverly Hills, Ca. Go on his website and look at his before and after and you will see me before and after surgery. I'm the only black girl on there so you will know which one is me.
You look great! Please check your inbox, I sent you a pm.
Did you have any hairloss? From Dr Aharonov?

I can see the difference and I really like it.

please post more pictures when you can :)
Great results. Please post pictures when you get the stitches out, you will look amazing.
Do you have staples on the sides of your head as well? It looks as if he only cut you across your forehead.
Definite improvement. Congratulations!
How many cm did he lower it?
ORIGINAL POST

Hey all I have already posted a review with...

Hey all I have already posted a review with updates but could not seem to edit certain details such as the surgeon and costs etc! But to cut a long story short i have always HATED my alien forehead to make it worse the size of my head is massive to so I'm cursed but I finally had the operation done in the UK with Dr Christopher Inglefield I was comfortable with him and his staff from the start!, I had the one stage procedure as he said he could lower more than 2cm with the little laxity of skin I had!, but the operation went well did not have any pain just a sore throat and chesty cough from the anaesthesia, I removed my dressings when I got home as the nurse said it was ok to I noticed a difference but not a huge difference so I can't judge until I'm healed my mum said she noticed a huge difference I hope she's right as I have no confidence in myself but anyway I'll post some pics that I took a day after I'll let you lot decide if you notice a difference also Mr Inglefield uses a different technique with his hairline lowering you can check out the video on YouTube.

Hey it looks good. I saw his YouTube video. How is it different? I think it's the same from other surgeons I have seen. Also your cost of 6800, was that in usd or pounds? When will your stitches be removed?
Hey thank you so much! Means a lot, I have not seen other surgeons use the implant or remove the skin like that but maybe I'm wrong!, the payment was in pounds I have an appoint on the 5th October for a head massage with the surgeon then my stitches will be removed 5 or 6 days after.
Yea I know a couple of the doctors here I. The US use an dissolvable implant to help anchor the scalp to bone until scar tissue forms so the the hairline will stay in place. How many cms was he able to get since you mentioned you had tight laxity? And is there a lot of tension around the suture site?
A couple of the US doctors here also use a dissolveable implant**
Oh really my bad!, I think he got it down by 2.5/3cm when I go back for my massage I'll get him to measure it theirs not a lot of tension no I thought I was going to just glad I have no pain
That is great! Keep us updated!
Hi Syasia

I had hairline lowering with Mr Inglefield, at first I thought the same as you are feeling now. However once the stitches are removed and the swelling goes down. No doubt you would like the hairline lowering. I am starting to like mine as time goes on. A great decision for me.
@kiss21 hey thank you for letting me know I'm starting to see a big difference now I feel much better about it how long ago did you get yours done? Hope you are healing up well! I also must find out what he washed my hair with as it don't shed like crazy anymore
its been 2 weeks and 5 days. Slowly you will see a big difference, at first I thought he had done the hairline a bit two forward but once the stitches came out it looked very good. As time goes by it starts to settle down nicely and looks great. At first when I started to wash my hair it did shed allot however it is just normal I guess. It no longer sheds. The best shampoo to use is Fast shampoo available from selective boots stores. feel free to discuss. Hope your feeling great and smiling.
Thanks for the advice babe I'll look into that shampoo and ask what one he used as well, I wish I could say the same that he brought mine down to forward but hey I can't fault him him he did a good job just hoping I don't get a keloid scar, anyway I hope you heal well keep me posted please
You're welcome hun, my scar is healing quick so its not as noticeable i have started to wear my hair differently. I guess its all down to one's genetics and the way you heal. All in all i am feeling confident with the hairline.
feel free to share notes with me
Hi, how high was your forehead pre-op? How many cm?
