So i didn't think i was going to share my story but i thought i would and i know it will help anyone who finds themselves in the same situation -don't worry :)

I had surgery on 30th June, i'm 7 weeks post op. Surgery went well and i'm very happy. I had my surgery in London at LBPS, surgeon was Dr Christopher Inglefield.

I have just had my 6 week check up and my scar is healing well and scalp is healthy. About 1 week after i got my stitches out i started to notice my hair coming out at the front. As you can see from the photos it has come out quite a lot since which has been very distressing. I have done everything right and have taken CE Furlic in the morning and Regaine (men's one) in the evening. I also purchased Viviscal hair growth tablets. They are quite pricey but i got them in the Holland & Barrett penny sale -6 months worth for £90.

I love my new face and i can already see hairs growing through...i just know it will take a good couple of months for this to grow back...bittersweet feeling. The LBPS team are fantastic and Dr Inglefield is a great surgeon.

If anyone has any questions or any experience with hair loss like this please get in touch, would love to hear from you's!

Hi Lovely looking result so far. May I ask is it £10,000 for hairline lowering only or was this a for head reconstruction procedure as well?
August 25, 2016
hi no sorry i actually had another procedure done too so i paid £10k in total. i think the hairline lowering by itself was around £6,500
August 26, 2016
Thank you. I thought 10k was an awful lot, even for the UK.:)

You look great! Thanks for sharing. Do you think Viviscal is working or Rogaine? My aunt took Viviscal for over a year and it did nothing. She thinks it's a scam company.
August 26, 2016
Hi thank you! I'm not sure as i only started taking it about 3 weeks ago so can't say for sure. Been taking rogaine from day 1 so hopefully that has been helping too.

May I say you have healed very well and the hair loss you mention is somewhat an issue as the follicle is traumatised? Plus you can get necrosis of the skin and follicles if you smoke and take some class A stimulants

I have found the monoxadil high percentage is great for maintaining and keep the follicles in the growth phase as long as you continue to apply the medication I personally utilise this for my temple's and have maintained the youthful density of hair.
Chris is indeed exceptional Surgeon he has rescued me after some rather unsatisfactory sub optimal surgery performed by another Plastic surgeon.
August 26, 2016
Thanks Cindy. Yes i am taking the high percentage of monoxadil and it seems to be working. I don't smoke either. Hopefully the hairs grow back in the next few months.

Cindy i just had a look on your profile and noticed you had chin reduction with Chris. I also had this too along with this procedure. Did you have much swelling after? I'm almost 8 weeks post surgery but still swollen under the chin, did you have this too?

Hairs will all grow back. swelling are you kidding me, it was like looking at jimmy hill for while! Sadly the chin / jaw reduction takes 9 to 18 months for the chin/jaw skin to retract around your new small jaw/chin bones. swelling changes all the time some days it looks great other days it more swollen and asymmetric. The swelling pools under the chin as gravity has its effect ,so from the profile view it can look odd but it all settles down. i hated the nerve twitches and numbness which have all resolved

The tincture of time is what is a [RS bleep], on reflection i am glad it takes time as people can't put the finger on what have you done, the fact is that you will just look more beautiful and refined as the time passes, which is good thing

Thank you, this makes me feel so much better!!! :-) i thought i was going to have to get liposuction under my chin lol have a slight double chin going on atm but yes it will take time to go down. Did you ever get any manual lymphatic drainage massages?

I did but also had a course of endmed 3D skin tightening. i also used took Serrapetase 250.000 iu supplement 3 x a day which really helps to reduce post operative oedema. you will not see to final outcome for at least a year for all the tissues to retract to the new underlining bone structure.
I guess you had a rather large reduction in volume to your chin ?

Don't stress its the recovery which is the hard part of facial bone surgery, its very hard on your mental wellbeing but it really is a process and not an event.

4 months- hair is growing! Short and fluffy lol!

s04p
4 months since op. Hair is fluffy and short at front but growing very quickly :) i'd say i'd be able to have a fringe in about 8 weeks. The hairs are about 2 inches or so long so sweeping them to the side until they grow longer.
