How they look now

It's been a while!

Hey to all you lovely ladies, pre op and post! I hope everyone's doing well! It's been a few weeks since I've posted anything so thought it's time for an update. I've had a couple of ups and downs over that's couple of weeks. It's seems to have taken me a little longer than the average to heal. I'm mostly doing well and when I was at my 3rd week I had my post op with my surgeon and he seemed very pleased with how I was healing and looking, and so was I. But the T section incion on my right booby has had a hard time healing. I'm not sure if it's due to me being right handed and being too active with my right arm and trying to do too much too soon? Anyway it's never fully healed yet and I've always tried to avoid getting it wet in the shower to allow it to dry out and heal and it was starting to look like it was. But after one shower I did accidentally get it quite wet and from then it went quite soft and opened up a lot more :( it was kind of weepy and bloody but I kept it clean with cotton pads and antibacterial gel then used a plaster to cover it. This seems to be helping and it's finally starting to heal but it has taken another 3 weeks for it to get to this point. Up to now id still been wearing my support bra but my boobies are feeling much softer and have definitely dropped a little. So today I've decided to try on one of my old bras and it fits perfectly and feels so comfortable. My nipples are quite close to the top of the cups and almost peep out but that doesn't bother me too much. I'm loving the way that they are looking now and just hope they continue to heal! :)

2nd Post Op Appointment

Hi to all you lovely ladies, I hope everyone is doing well! Just a quick update. I had my 2nd post op appointment with the nurse again today to remove/change my dressings. My incisions are healing and are fully closed now but the nurse decided to put two more bandages on the bottom as the 'T' sections were still a little raw so just to protect them a little. She said I can get them wet now too and gave me more dressings to put on my self afterwards. Both nipples are now free (Yayy! Although the leftie is still numb) and I'm really happy with their size and new position! There's still a lot of healing to do but I'm getting a better picture of what they're gonna look like now. I should be able to start moustoursing them in a few days too, which Im told will flatten the scars out. I have my first follow up appointment with my PS on Monday so looking forward to that and hopefully will be free of any dressings after then! :D They're still feeling a little numb in places but are itchy too which is a good sign. Fingers crossed the healing process continues to go smoothly!
