I'm not a person to struggle with self-confidence...

I'm not a person to struggle with self-confidence however when it came to my breast, I would cringe and whimper away. It’s not that I was flat chested (34B/C), I just HATED to look and shape of them. I lacked volume at the top of my breast, I would have gap at the top of my bra where I could practically fit my fist, and they just sat wrong, to me they were ugly. I'm a curvy girl, I have hips and a bum (size 12), but my chest was completely out of proportion to the rest of me. I would spend so much time and money finding the perfect 'plunge bra’ to give myself the desired shape and size chest, just so I could feel confident in the clothes I was wearing. But at the end of the day when the clothes come off, my self-esteem did too.
After 8 years together with my partner, he popped the question and we were engaged! I was so excited to get married. I had an image in my head of a perfect winter wonderland wedding but the thought of trying on wedding dresses filled me with dread. I had always wanted a tight figure hugging fishtail dress but the last thing I wanted was to have that big gaping hole between my chest and the dress. On your wedding day you should feel a million dollars, but I knew my boobs would stop me feeling like that.
I had always wanted a breast augmentation, I would spend hours online doing my research, trying to find the best surgeon and a reputable clinic. I would look into forums like this reading other peoples experiences. After the proposal I knew it would be the perfect time to take the plunge and have the surgery.
After much research I decided to book a consultation with Mr Davood Fallahdar at The Private Clinic in Harley Street. At the consultation I met directly with him. He was caring, understanding and very informative. He took the time to listen to my reasons for wanting surgery and my desired results. I told him I wanted to be able to fill a D cup and he suggested 325CC high profile implants. He recommended high profile as this would give me the volume on top without having the ‘glamour’ look. I was able to try on the different sizes but agreed with him, 325CC HP would be best. He was very upfront with the possible risk and complications. He wasn’t pushy at all and I felt very comfortable with him. I was so excited, I literally wanted it done there and then!! He told me I needed a 2 week cooling off period to process all the information and to be sure I was making the right decision.
I booked in just over two weeks after my initial consultation, even though I wanted to have the procedure straight away I was glad I had to wait as this gave me more time to prepare myself for the procedure and how I was going to feel after.
The day of the surgery came, I was book the London Welbeck Hospital. I was so excited but the nerves certainly started to take over. I arrived and was shown to my own private room. Soon after there was a knock on the door a Mr Fallahdar walked in. He instantly made me feel a lot calmer. He talked through the procedure again and took some before pictures. He made sure I had no further questions and then left me to go get ready in surgery. I was given a very attractive surgical gown to wear along with some questionable string knickers and surgical stockings. My partner thought this was hilarious and took this as an opportunity to mock me and take further pictures ha! I was saved from any further abuse by another knock at the door, this time it was the anaesthetist coming to see me and have a chat about the general anaesthetic, her name was Dr Hadi and she again was very warm and caring. She put my mind to rest about being put to sleep and I instantly felt safe in her hands. I was taken down to the theatre, after that it was all a bit of a blur for the next 24 hours.
I remember coming round from the anaesthetic and feeling very sleepy and comfortable- amazingly was in no pain at all, I wasn’t even sure I had had anything done!! I was given a drink and some food in my room and my blood pressure was regularly checked by the lovely nurse who was looking after me. Mr Fallahdar came into see me before I left to make sure I was feeling ok, he confirmed the surgery went well and told me to call the clinic if I had any concerns or queries. I was discharged around 5 hours post procedure and went home to rest. I couldn’t believe how well I felt. I rested for the next few days following surgery but got cabin fever day two and went shopping!!
I had my first follow up appointment back at The Private Clinic day 7 post op with the nurse who took of my plasters and told me to let the air get to the incisions, I couldn’t believe how tinny the incisions were, literally 3cm-4cm long MAX!
I met with Mr Fallahdar again the following week for a follow up. I was a little tender still but he reassured me that was very normal. The shape of my new boobs changed over the next month or so, they were quite hard to being with, I guess that was down to the swelling but they started to soften and sit in a much more natural position.
They looked fantastic, the shape, size and positon was perfect. I finally had volume on top. It was very cleansing to be able to throw away my old plunge push up bras. I am happy to say I have never needed to purchase a bra with padding in since, instead I can wear sexy lace bras, no need for any assistance!
I cannot begin to explain how happy I was with the service provided by The Private Clinic and the expertise of Mr Fallahdar. He is a cosmetic geniuses, I cannot recommend him highly enough. They provided a highly professional service throughout, I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else.
And as for my wedding day, I wore a gorgeous low cut Maggie Sotero gown, no bra required! I did indeed feel a million dollars.
