I had IPl treatment for facial rejuvenation in Feb this year unfortunately I was badly burnt and am left currently with worse pigmentation marks stripes and a painful scar on my jaw. I went to the hospital and was treated with anti biotic cream. The salon has apologised and is giving me dermalux light treatments to try and help heal my skin but does anyone have any other ideas of creams treatments that may help ? Thanks in advance all advice gratefully received as this is really getting me down

That is a severe burn. I would warn others at least about the operator who did it, if not the salon. As far as tx at this point, I would consult a burn center or a derm who treats a lot of burn victims. At thispoint your burns have already healed and you are dealing with the scarsand pigment. I've read that IPL causes an increase in free radicals on the skin, so maybe antioxidants like a gentle Vit C serum? However that study recommended applying antioxidants almost immediately after the tx (which I didn't know about at the time I got my sad IPL damage, so too late for me too). Sadly, I find that the state of knowledge on how to fix IPL damage is minimal if anything. Yet IPL machines are everywhere and providers act like it's totally risk free. Kind of like building a million nuclear plants when you have no idea how to safely get rid of the waste or fix radiation injuries, and advertising the nuclear waste as being "as safe as sunshine!"

Stay away from getting anymore lasers. Look into Biafine and in the meantime buy Manuka Honey ( buy the best that's out there) and put it on your face every night as a mask. Leave it on as long as you can. Manuka is fantastic. It is used for so many things but it is especially good for burns. Also apply Emu oil after you rinse off the honey. Smear as much as you can before bed.
