So I have been waiting a few years for a tattoo, and I finally got it done and I am so unhappy with it and just want to get rid of it. I only had this done in September so I understand I need to wait till January to start laser removal. I don't know whether to try a picolaser or stick to a normal laser. Any advice? and do you think I should be able to get rid of most of the tattoo?
Thanks for any advice :)

This is my first laser treatment. No changes as of yet or blisters but I know this is a long process.

I had my second treatment, a week ago. The blisters where huge, but they have settled down now. Not really seeing any change (just a lot of pain), however I know I will just need to stick at it for now, as its such a new tattoo.

Did you go for the qswitch laser? I do see some fading in the shading of the body of the bird. Your tattoo is pretty dark and might respond better to a pico laser. I would definitively recomend a couple of treatments with pico laser before you give up. I have seen great results with pico laser and think it is the best. Good luck.

Yeah I am, I was recommended it, as apparently the Picosure doesn't work well on black. I may be wrong.

You should get good results with a Q-switch laser on such dark ink. I agree that it does also depend on the knowledge and experience of the person operating it.

what laser are you using.. I have a tattoo that was placed last week that I want gone.. I have to wait 3 mos to start this and feel sick over it...the place I am going only does picasure...

I'm using a revlite which is weaker than the picosure laser, they say I can't use picosure b/c I'm at a higher risk of hypopigmentation

I think my skin tone is so similar to yours.. now I am rethinking going to that place.. of course they will sell me on it if it is all they use :/

My clients always say that they notice the most difference/fade just before they are due another laser session

I have been using a Quanta Q + C (Q-Switch) laser on my black lines and black shading and after 5 sessions I have some very dramatic fading and the heavy lines are breaking up quite a bit.
According to information on the internet the best wavelength for black ink is 1064 nm. Picosure lasers do not use that wavelength (unless it has an add-on, ask the clinic). Some people have had decent fading on black ink with the Picosure, but their results in my opinion look similar to or worse than the progress I'm getting with a Q-Switch. So I recommend a Q-Switch laser, but ultimately the choice is up to you. Ask questions at different clinics and do research online.

the other laser won't work
