This is my 5th week I had rhinoplasty to correct a deviated septum and as well to improve the aesthetic appearance of my nose which I never liked since I was 14 and I would like to share my story with you.
I had a small bump, uneven nostrils (because of the deviation) and I could not breath properly on one side, and also my nose was looking a little too long.
I decided to have my operation done with dr. Athanasios Athanasiou, after having seen at least 5/6 surgeons in London and having thinking about it for about 2/3 years! By having a very busy job, it was quite difficult for me to get some time off to do the procedure, but finally I got there!
This surgeon operates in London and in Athens, he's got his private boutique in Glyfada called Athens of Beverly Hills (ABH Group) which is located in the wealthiest area in Athens, full of shops, nice restaurants, and many shops.
I decided to have the procedure done in Athens for the reasons that I would have been in relaxing environment during my week recovery, with nice weather, by the sea. I also know that Greece is one of the more advanced places in the world in terms of n. of procedures, and cosmetic plastic surgery tecnics.
Dr. Athanasiou has been trained in the USA and he does perform most advanced tecniques in terms of plastic surgery.
He explained me in details the procedure and the results which I could have expected during my consultation in London, he promised me a straight septum with a very natural appearance and that's exactly what I achieved! : )
I flew to Athens the day before the operation, whether Athanasiou's private taxi driver was there waiting for me to drive me to the hotel. The day after I was accompanied by him and his private London PA, Michelle to a nearby boutique hospital. All the staff were very friendly and the hospital was looking very nice, I would say a 5 stars service!!
The operation went well and just the day after the surgeon came to the hospital to check me out and to remove my tampons. It was a little uncomfortable, but I would not describe it as painful. The whole procedure wasn't painful at all. I had some bruising around the eyes, but it was actually better than I was expecting, after having seen most reviews on the internet!
Michelle accompanied me to do some shopping in the centre of Glyfada as I was feeling already well. I spent the whole week in a hotel next to the clinic, so I had all my check ups done, and it was quite easy to reach the clinic which was 5 mins away by taxi.
I ate the most gorgeous food while there, and I tried many restaurants during my stay, I also went to see the Acropolis on my last day and I did quite lot of shopping.
Friday was my last day in Athens (a week after the op), I could not wait to see my new nose!!! When the surgeon removed the stitches and the cast I could not be any happier, I could see the straight perfect nose I always wanted!!
I am now in my 4th week of recovery and most of the swelling is getting down, the shape is very clear and very natural! I know it will take a little more time to appreciate the full results.
Most of my friends even did not notice I even have had surgery! I could not recommend dr. Athanasios enough!! His clinic and his staff were totally amazing, I would say 5 stars + service.
