I have been looking into this thread lift for awhile and was unsure due to the mixed reviews. Dr Hanson explained that he would never do anything that didn't make me look better so unhappy with my loss of volume I went for it!
This thread has cones which are meant to stimulate your collagen so results should get better and better over time.
This procedure is virtually painless lip fillers are worse!! I was numbed up, threads put in which he smoothed with his fingers and then pulled nice and tight.
I felt the lift straight away and then the threads are trimmed. Results can be seen immediately.

Hi Lisa - I am thrilled to hear your joy in regards to threads, Mr Hanson sounds very sincere. My experience was not so positive but I've decided on a mini lift in the next couple of months. How many threads and cogs did you have, I bet you are delighted to see instant results with minimal discomfort! Happy healing and well done :) x

Hi thank you for your reply. Yes result are minimal and do not replace a facelift. I had 2 threads each side. The top one was a longer larger cog thread which was done in a V shape which went from top of my ear to top of cheek bone and mid face. Then I had one along the jaw. When did you have it done? And did you have the silhouette lift? X

I had mine done in July, yes it was the silhouette but I picked the incorrect clinic for treatment...as a result had no impact and was very painful. Your day 4 pics are looking good! Yes you are correct, it improves over time :-) x

Did you get a refund for your failed procedure?

I have also been looking into this procedure but like you, have seen a lot of mixed reviews. My current (filler/botox) doctor is trying to find someone to train with that is really good. Would you be willing to share your research with me? And how to find out more about Dr. Hanson? I could see improvement even with the same day photos. thank you, kate

Hi with regards to Dr Hanson training , I believe the Dr responsible for inventing the thread lift is from Spain.
I had a thread lift with Dr Leah Totton who went to Spain and trained with the Dr. I had excellent results and couldn't be happier

Thread lift Day 4

Face has been a bit sore but nothing to bad and I'd say that the only problem for me at this stage is being unable to sleep on my face! I have been told to stay on my back for 5 days and being a side sleeper I am tired!! But I don't want to ruin the threads so will sleep on my back for a few weeks or as long as I can.
Results are not overly noticeable but I have noticed my skin fills nicer/smoother. Face fills more toned and when I look down into a mirror it doesn't hang!
With the silhouette lift your face is meant to getter better over time due to the collagen being stimulated.

hi Lisa
Thank you for sharing you look great.
I am almost 3 weeks after my silhouette threads, and I haven't had such a good experience.
my face was bruised for 2 weeks, I have large dimples and one very painful vertical thread that is giving me a constant tight dragging feeling down one side. I also have lumps and a protruding thread.
I also found it difficult to follow the strict post thread regime of sleeping on my back, not laughing etc.. lol.
I am hoping they will settle. I went to the best doctor and paid £3,000, in London. So to be honest I was expecting better results, as I also don't really see much of a lift.
I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you, on your post. As I have found that unexpectedly threading is quite an intrusive procedure with a down time of 3 to 4 weeks, and I was not given this information before hand, so would like to share to others contemplating having this done.
all the best

Hi do you think your doctor might have pulled the thread too tight? I am 4 days in now and can only sometimes fill their presence. I did loads of research and decided to go ahead after watching Gillian talforths video on YouTube. How many threads did you have? X
November 9, 2015
hi Lisa
I had 2 threads. but I think they split them into 4, not sure how it works. I did my jaw line and cheeks.
I went back after one week and the doctor pulled my painful thread, to release the tension.
I will go back at the end of the week for a check up.
do you have the dimple marks?
I saw the Gillian Talforth story too, lol. did you go to her dr, Dr Khan?
I guess we all heal and react differently, so that has something to do with it.
you look great.

i had very bad experience with this thread lift too.i have done it for more than 3weeks.the two side of face not same and didn't see any liftup.i even feel i look older and face look so weired.and i can't do emotion expression natually, and same like u with lumps and protruding threat.i even can see the line when i lift up my ear.and i feel sometime with pains of face at some point.all these side effect make me very uncomfortable everyday.i don't know when it can be gone or it lasting forever…that ll totally kill me…anyone can tell me what can i do to release those thread?
July 5, 2016
I too am not pleased I have still got bruising and I can see the outline of threads at top of my cheeks. I have to cut my food up so small as myouth won't open and the cornets of my mouth are down. Mine hurt like hell going in. Any idea when I will see a result ?
July 6, 2016
how long have u done ur thread lift?do u feel difficult to do emotion expression?my smile so fake now…i really regret to get this done…
August 3, 2016
I had threads on July 26 which created very deep furrows on my lower cheeks. My lower teeth hurt so badly that I couldn't chew on the worst side. On Aug 1, my threads were tightened with no pain medication. I have never experienced such extreme pain. When it was done, I had deeper furrows on both sides of my face. I look like the Joker. It's hard to imagine that my face will ever look normal. When I try to open my mouth even a little, the same flesh-ripping pain results. I have been disfigured and left unable to eat or brush my teeth. Is your condition improving at all? Or what did you decide to do?

hi Lisa
I still have dimples after 3 weeks, but mine are mid cheek. it's great you can hide yours behind your hair.
mine are slowly going down, so I will continue to update

Yes can be hidden which doctor suggested. The entry holes for my lower jaw have completely healed and are unnoticeable. A thicker cogged thread was used for upper face so maybe that's why the holes are quite big.

it shouldn't pucker like that... I'd go back to the doctor
January 13, 2019
The puckering is minimal and smooths out after a week is so.
