One week after my double operation Rinoplasty and Breast Augmentation update

The operation went really well, I was taken care off from the minute I walked into the hospital, staff all very attentive, kind and caring. Dr Mark Solomos came to visit me prior to the operation to draw on my nose and breast area, and then I waited until it was time to walk down to the theatre. I was very nervous and keen to get it done, it was 13:40 on the clock while I layed on the bed to go into theatre, then woke up and while being wheeled back to my private room I saw that it was 16:30. My nose wrapped up and I had my pre baby boobs back! I wasn't really with it, felt spaced out but glad it was all over. The breathing through my mouth wasn't too bad, although I struggled at first when I woke up, feeling tearful and a very dry mouth and difficulty swallowing. I discovered the next morning, while the nose packing was carefully being removed that it was because it was down my nose passage low down, to near my throat. The body readjust quickly and I ate lots of ice cubes, mushed down. My best friend and partner kept me company as i was sleepy and unable to do much. The pain wasn't too bad tbh, I had a paracetamol drip and only asked the night nurse to top it up once during the night. I had soup and drank lots and lots of water. I was discharged the next day, Dr Mark Solomos came to visit a couple of times after the operation and the next morning, all was well and I left to go home with my friend. At home you recover quicker in your own environment, the nose pain wasn't bad and the chest area can only be described as a heavy peck work out, bit tender under the arms, so unable to lift anything heavy, you're not supposed to anyway and you get tired more quickly. But one week on and I'm back at work, (home worker) I managed to wash my hair, and had my post breast op check up, skin has healed up, tomorrow the nose cast is being removed. The bruising around my right eye and the swelling has reduced massively and I feel less emotional. I can highly recommend Dr Mark Solomos had full confidence in him when we first met and I was reassured by his professionalism and calm nature, he knows his stuff and I can't wait to see my new nose tomorrow! Is it worth having a dry mouth and slight uncomfort breathing through the mouth for 24 hours? Absolutely, a lifetime ahead now with my figure back and a beautiful nose that's perfect for my face. Hope this helps some of you who are not sure if they should face their fear and change their lives! You can do it! Dalida xx

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek, only just realised that my operation date is coming up on the 11th October. The nose job is something i've been meaning to get done for many years, just never had the courage I guess. The breast augmentation came after my pregnancy, while I was pregnant they looked incredible, and then after breast feeding they look deflated and so after my first consultation with Dr Solomos and his reassurance that it was absolutely possible to have a double operation the recovery time is exactly the same, I'm in excellent health and feel more ready than ever. So with the operation date coming closer I'm beginning to feel slightly nervous, in a good way. I'll update and let you all know how it goes.

My first initial consultation went really well, Dr Solomos gave me the confidence and believe that a double operation is absolutely do-able as the recovery will be the same. I will report back once I've gone in and after the operation as it may help others who are thinking of doing the same procedures.
