I had the green peel treatment done yesterday. I was reluctant to try this product as not many have worked in the past. Prior to this treatment I was having diamond microdermabrasion however I was told this treatment would be better as I was getting the occasional breakout. The procedure was painful and felt like someone rubbing grit into my skin. It was rather harsh and just about bareable. Anyway, I was worried as I'm black and have often been told that many treatments will not work on my skin tone. Today is day two and I have not yet experienced any peeling, just lots of little breakouts and an itchy sensation all over. I have used the products provided this morning as I have not been able to wash my face. I am intrigued to see what will come if it by day 5. At the moment my skin feels very tight and extremely uncomfortable. My skin is naturally very oily so I wonder whether or not I will peel, and if not how effective it means the treatment has been in regards to tackling my hyper-pigmentation. Anyway, still a few days yet to go. I'll keep you posted.

How would you compare the peel to the microdermabrasion? Was one more uncomfortable than the other?

The peel for me was extremely painful throughout in comparison to the microdermabrasion which didn't hurt at all. In saying that I have seen results which regards to my scars which have faded a huge amount. The peel did cause a lot of breakouts initially which was worrying but they have since cleared up. My skin around my chin still peels a little even though the 5 days are up but it's not anywhere near as bad as before. Generally I am pleased with the results and they came slot faster than with the microdermabrasion however, I must reiterate that my experience was extremely painful. Most nights it was difficult to sleep but I would imagine this differs from person to person.
