Revision rhino with Mr Ion April 2018

Argh to think this is the 3rd time I’ve put myself through this! Today the swelling seems to be peaking (I hope!) which is something I haven’t previously experienced. I can see the tip of my nose has been placed centrally which is so exciting :) but it’s also REALLY swollen. I peeked under the drip pad a few hours after surgery, and by the next day my tip and nostrils became VERY swollen.
I’m generally feeling ok but pretty uncomfortable, largely from the swelling around my right eye, there is a mass of swelling on the right side of my nose. My whole face is swollen, I look like a hamster, my lips have shrunk and I can’t smile. This all seems pretty standard so I’m not too concerned. My breathing was so impaired from my previous surgeries, that the current nasal blockage feels fairly normal to me! I’m not getting the sore throat lots of people feel from sleeping with your mouth wide open, I’m pretty well practiced ;) I believe Mr Ion listened to what I wanted and I’m eager to get through this next week of swelling...
5 more days to the cast comes off. I guess that’s another 5 days of green smoothies and drinking soup through a straw!
Oh and I keep panicking about blood clots, every now and then my ankles feel a bit achey but it seems okay, and I’m routinely going for a little walk up and down the stairs!

I've written two reviews on here, documenting my previous experience of unsuccessful rhino (and revision with the same surgeon) in 2012-13. Then I had some filler in 2014 which helped a lot, but this couldn't amend the ongoing issues I have with difficulty breathing, asymmetry and excess scar tissue. Please check these reviews out for my photos and story.
I've so far had 2 consultations with Mr Uppal in the last couple of months, I love the results on his website! But there are some really bad reviews on here which are actually terrifying when you've already dragged your nose to hell and back.
What I like about his website before/afters are the fact that he doesn't seem to have a "signature" style, and he gets subtle results. But there aren't many positive reviews on here with photos- are they fake?
I'm planning to book with Lucian Ion as he has a million rave reviews on here and seems pretty consistent, with good after care when something bad does happen. However his signature style won't suit me- I'm really not after a cute as a button feminine little nose. It looks lovely on so many people, but it won't suit me and I'm wondering how flexible he can be with this. I love his results on men as they are usually less scooped and less dainty, perhaps I can challenge these gendered ideals. I guess I'm after a gender neutral shnoz!
I really wish I had never ever had a rhinoplasty, my original nose was very elegant and very functional. After years of being unable to breathe properly you really come to understand the saying "if it ain't broke..."
Sigh.
Okay, so if anyone has seen Ion and not had a cute femme nose, please get in touch! Or if you can recommend anyone- I'm considering travelling afar for this.
