Booked my Face and Neck Lift with Dominic Bray - London, GB

ORIGINAL POST

I have now booked my neck and face lift with...

WORTH IT
I have now booked my neck and face lift with Dominic Bray for October and started my skin care regime. I want to thank the contributors of RealSelf for sharing their experiences, without which, I would not have been able to make such an informed descision regarding what procedures I may need, and which surgeon I would choose. I've never been a classic beauty but have always felt pretty comfortable about the way I look. Until about five years ago when my cheeks started to descend to the bottom half of my face, to meet my ever increasing saggy neck. I hate the way that I have aged so rapidly over the last few years, it has really affected how I feel about myself. My husband has been my rock over the last couple of years and supports my descion fully. So, the date is booked and I am now looking forward to joining the Bray Babe club. I'll keep you posted! Feeling excited !

Hey Dea, it'll be here before you know it! Best of luck with the skincare...... stick with it. I'm just starting to see an improvement in my skin now.....

Only been using the skincare since Monday, so early days yet, how long before you started to see a difference?

I'd say about 6 weeks for me, BUT I did try it last year for 5 weeks (before we fell out with each other & I chucked it lol in a drawer!). Rebecca's guide is much more gentle than the directions that I was given last time though, and I do think that my skin was 'part-prepped' ahead of me starting this time. Just take it steady (don't forget lip balm!) - you'll be radiant come your date in October!

Hello, i did book my first consultation with Dominique in Oct. What exactly is the skincare he suggest doing pre op? I have a very difficult skin and will start my Retin A in Sept anyway , so not really keen into changing anything at all .
July 14, 2017
I have been using Obagi skincare. You can use this after the op too, I just wanted to start it before. Any concerns you have about your skin you should discuss with Dominic when you go and see him.

UPDATED FROM Dea10

10 weeks tomorrow - then heading to Harley Street to Dr Genius - Dominic Bray....

Dea10
God those first pictures are vile, is that even me? I suppose, yes, they very much are, which is why I am compelled to head running for the hills of Harley Street for a quick visit to Dr Genius, in approx 10 weeks time.... I have been using the skincare prescribed by Dominic's clinic for quite a few weeks now, it has really made such a positive difference to my skin. To be honest here, my skin was quite good for my age anyway and I don't tend to tan my face, even if I go away to a hot location, so don't really have too much sun damage. I don't like to fry myself and never have, I have quite light eyes, even though I am a brunette and I can burn quite easily if I don't watch it. I do have some age related pigmentation appearing on my skin, but nothing too bad at the moment. When I first started using the skincare, my face felt like that of a 80 year old for about 3 weeks, it was parched and dry, a bit flakey and the lines around my eyes seemed so much deeper and longer than they were before I stared using the skincare, I was, a bit freaked out. But within about 3 -4 weeks that eased up and now my skin is glowing and the pore size seems to be smaller and less noticeable that it was previously. Sometime It's hard to be objective about yourself, especially as I have not told anyone that I am using prescription skincare because I don't want too many question, etc etc. But today I was at the hairdressers and the owner ( a man) complemented me on my skin :-) I am sure he sees a lot of ladies of my age close up, so I was very pleased to receive such a compliment, it only confirms what I had thought, the skincare regime and products do make a difference, and they have improved the quality and appearance of my face and neck. Great news :-) Not long now......

Hi Doris007, I am so busy at the moment, I only realised today that I have less than one month left to go before my surgery date. In fact, I was in my own little world this morning when I got a call from Dominic's surgery, I had sort of forgotten...momentarily... how is that possible ? I am sure the next few weeks will fly by and before you know it I'll be sitting in the chair with the scalpel looming over me... When I think about it I am quite excited, not nervous at all, just ready to welcome the changes ahead of me.

UPDATED FROM Dea10

6 Month update - Feeling great

Dea10
Hello Realselfers, I thought it was time for an update and I am sure you would like to see the finished result, as it were? It has been nearly a full six months since my surgery with Dominic. I can honestly say that is this one of the best things that I could have done for myself. I feel so totally different and love my new look. I am of course, still a woman in her mid fifties, but I look and feel refreshed and now have an added spring in my step. I am so grateful for all those who have contributed to this site, as it helped me to make an informed decision and choose the right surgeon. I have healed brilliantly and have no visible scars. Dominic and his team are fabulous and looked after me so well. I'm now popping back for a little filler and botox to keep the polish and shine on my new look. I'm not sure how long a facelift lasts, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

You are another testament to Dominic's brilliant work. Congratulations Dea!
July 31, 2018
hi!could you tell me how much you paid?
November 23, 2018
Sorry for not answering this, I have been off grid for a while. It would not be fair for me to say because each patient is different and should be assessed by the surgeon / doctor that you choose. I was not driven by price, I simply chose the best. One year on and I still feel and look amazing, thanks to Dominic and his team.
