Earfold Review - So Far One of the Worst Decisions I Have Ever Made.

I have always hated my right ear. Unfortunately it bears no likeness to my left and is floppy and sticks out. It has always made me self conscious and I decided the earfold would be the perfect procedure to rectify it. The pre-consultation and procedure went fantastically. Everything proceeded as expected until around 2 weeks. Then I began to notice what I believed was an infection - the skin was peeling and there was yellowing and swelling. I contacted my surgeon but he told me it was normal. I contact him again a week later as the swelling had increased - he again advised me it was fine. I contacted him again a week after that, the swelling had popped at there was no a small hole in my concha bowl that was leaking puss and liquid. At this point my surgeon was in Mexico on a 3 - 4 week holiday - I visited my local GP who did not believe it to be serious but placed my on a course of antibiotics. Over the next week I saw little improvement in the infection, I did however begin to notice my ear was moving slightly towards its original implant. A week on my ear has completely returned to its original position, the implant is still somewhere in my ear, the hole was still there and leaking and my surgeon is still not in the country. My Christmas and my New Year have been pretty much ruined. I am back at square one except I now have a hole in my ear and in my wallet. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed - what I chose because of its quickness and simplicity has now become a nightmare without an end in sight. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. (Please note I did the research and selected a 5* surgeon at one of London's top clinics - this did not matter).
