Final Pre-Op Consultation

So it's looking like I need to seriously adjust my expectations - most of my 'wish boobs' are just too big for my frame... feeling quite disappointed. My surgeon has stressed that the max volume he wants to use with my frame is 250cc if we go round (but he prefers more like 225cc) and if I want bigger he would use teardrop/shaped and only up to around 270cc max..and of course no promises as it depends what fits/works in surgery when he tries the sizers......and tbh he didn't seem that optimistic (could be just his poker face..). By the end of the consultation we had settled on trying for the max volume with teardrop, and if it didn't work then I said I'd prefer round if he's going into lower volumes.. Have this horrible feeling that i'm going to wake up next week and be told that he's used low 200s CC round.. Don't mean any offence to any ladies who have this - it's just what I wanted was ideally a slightly bigger look so i'm a bit gutted tbh! On the plus side it would look super-natural... on the down-side I go through all this only to get a slightly bigger boob and not ones that i look down and go 'whoohoo i love these!'.. Let's see.

In reality there is very little difference between, say, 250cc or 265/270cc - so in that sense I'm now wondering whether to just go for round 250 mod+ and at least have a more natural feel (he uses mentor, textured, cohesive 1 round which does feel significantly softer than mentor cdg shaped cohesive 3) rather than trying to eek out 20 extra cc's and go shaped.... Any suggestions?! So so hard to know what's best!

Hello! Firstly - i've been so pleasantly surprised...

Hello! Firstly - i've been so pleasantly surprised by the warmth, openness and genuine desire to help on this website; it's been a really heart-warming experience so far and so I wanna say a big thank you to all the lovely ladies who are brave and honest on here as each of you help make this process for us BoobieNewbies a little less scary and a little bit more informed!

In the spirit of this I feel it's only right that I should open up and post a review too. So here goes......

I'm (almost) 35, like many here I used to like my boobs - small, perky, nice shape and width (and yes i definitely would have loooooved bigger boobs many a time but I saw the benefits of my little ones and they fitted my frame etc..). Fast-forward a few years and two breast-fed babies and i don't love them so much. They're fine, but I want more than 'fine' :)

Stats:
5ft6
110 lbs approx
27.5 inches band width under boobs
BWD 11-12 (but I could be measuring wrong...), surgeon says we need to only consider implants with base width 10.5-11.5 max.
Bony chest, visible ribs, hollow between breasts.
Currently I am guessing 32A

What I want:
I love a natural slope to the boob and i'm not a fan of a full upper pole (can look great on some women but i have such a bony chest I fear would look too odd on me), i like lower pole fullness, i do like a rounded shape to the sides (if that makes sense) and i like it if the curve of the boob swells just outside of the ribs to the side.

Please check out my wishboobs.. i have TONS! that is the edit (of the edit....). I sadly think that most are too big so I think I've really got to work on my expectations as otherwise i'm going to be so disappointed after the op.

I've had a few consultations with my surgeon but tbh still feel confused what to go for (have one more tomo before surgery on 8th May EEEEK!). He uses Mentor implants, and i will def be dual-plane under muscle and silicon. The big final choice is whether teardrop (Mentor MemoryShape/CPG) or round (cohesive gel 2). Size-wise I sadly don't have a lot of choice due to thin breast tissue, ribs, general smallness etc.. So looking at probably 250cc in either round or teardrop is the safest bet. Confusing as I see women on here who seem to be the same stats/size and yet are going for larger but my surgeon really is cautious and equally I don't want to have rippling/bottoming out and I do really want a natural look.

My surgeon is leaning towards teardrop/shaped. I'm hesitant because:
1) they are firmer
2) hence they are less fluid when you move/bend etc so despite possibly looking more natural they feel less so.
3) sometimes they seem to look a little bit oblong shaped (?!)
4) small risk of rotation (but my surgeon is very skilled and so this is not my main concern)

Also - big question - don't round implants if placed under muscle and if not too large volume for my size also have a more teardrop/sloped look to them after they have fully dropped and fluffed?? And if so, why go for teardrop when they have their drawbacks? Any ideas ladies?

Thank you for taking the time to read my review... :) [RS bleep]
