It’s been a while since I’ve updated as I’ve been very busy. I cannot believe it’s been a year
I’ve since decided that Dr Bora Ok is the most favourable for me. Being the last minute merchant that I am, whilst I have booked this for November 21st (yes, 2 weeks) and on the surgery side, all admin is done, I still need to book my flights.
My mum is also too busy to come with me as originally planned. Any chance that anyone is going around this time??

I am African-American and considered Dr. Ok for a revision rhinoplasty but have since changed my mind. On his ethnic nose instagram (@ethnicnosebydrboraok) some of his work on noses of African descent is good but a great number of them are not so great, and some are botched. He doesn't seem to do too well with noses that are similar to yours. There is a similar nose on his site that he really botched and the most recent picture he posted he gave the girl asymmetrical nostrils which were commented on in the website by someone and Dr. Ok agreed.
That said, he seems to do a good job with ethnic noses that have a thinner bridge and alar base but other than that I wouldn't feel too comfortable with him.
Hi, I follow both his accounts and I've seen a lot of his work, including work on one lady's nose that resembles mine (I have only seen one nose I feel resembles my own, I'm not sure of the others you may be referring to, please forward the details, I'd love to check them out) like mine that he did that is one of my favourites of his work. Which patient are you referring to? Is it the one where he stated that he cannot always create symmetrical nostrils due to differences in people's anatomy?

I tried to post the picture that I was referring to in my comment but it won't allow me to do so. That said, as long as you feel that he's the right doctor for you and that you've done your due diligence then that's all that matters. Good luck with the surgery and keep us updated.

When you book with Bora Ok the proce includes the hospital and hotel stay for the week and they pick you up at the airport right?
I dont know what the previous poster is talking about. He does noses like yours all day successfully.
Hey, yes indeed it does, and they do, from what they told me.
Admittedly I haven't seen many noses very like mine but I've seen a few that are similar-ish and some that are even more 'difficult' that I like the look of
I read that in other reviews but not many. I've never seen a doctor who does that so I just wanted to be sure.
I've already decided to go with him, but I have to move first before I can plan my trip. I wish I could go to the same time as you.
I have an issue when people come onto someone else's page and start making comments they can't back up. No one's face is completely symmetrical. And doctors aren't responsible for what people do or don't do after their surgery. There's plenty of people who do not listen to what the doctor tells them to do and then their results get messed up they want to blame the doctor. If she didn't want to send you pictures via private message, she could post a link to the picture she's talking about. I don't see the point. If you don't trust a doctor then don't get surgery with them. By the way, Dr Ok has a YouTube channel where you can actually watch him do surgery. On his site he posts a lot of pictures with his patients post surgery.
I'm excited to see your results. I can't wait to get on the plane and have mine done.

Yes, I get what you mean. I've gotten quite defensive when I've seen such comments in the past, but I think people (I want to believe) are trying to be helpful and just have different ways of expressing it.
Thank you, I know the YouTube channel you are referring to; I used to be very squeamish about surgery imagery but I now watch it whenever he posts something haha.
I am, too. I just need to speak to my family again as my parents have started asking to see his health credentials (they are understandably scared).

Aw you’re welcome Hun. I will, everything is basically ready prep-wise, I just want to be absolutely certain of the surgeon I choose.

Hey, not yet as work put a major spanner in the plans. I’m hoping to get it done Feb next year fingers crossed.
