Provider Review
Three months ago I found a site about breast implant illness after years of poor health worsening as time went on. I never knew it could have been my implants causing it. My symptoms included- Fatigue Palpitations Muscle weakness Bloating and food intolerances Depression, anxiety, mood swings (hormonal imbalance) Brain fog Blurred vision Rashes Allergies Headaches Short of breath Cystitis/thrush recurring Thank god my mum found this and told me to read it. It felt scary and overwhelming at first. I felt desperate to get them out but also terrified about what I’d look like and didn’t know where to start. I obsessively read through the posts on the forum and listened to hours of YouTube videos on breast implant illness and explant. I researched many surgeons at length and also messaged women on the forum to ask them their experience with particular surgeons. Some shared pictures which also helped me so much to make a decision. Here’s what I learned I needed personally- En bloc capsulectomy (implants removed whilst inside the capsule) and a lift (mastopexy). I was a 32a then had 300cc implants for 18 years (32D). I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and I’m absolutely delighted with how they look! I was so scared of being depressed with my body. They look so much better than they did originally and better than with my implants! David Floyd in London who did en bloc removal and a lift was fantastic. The surgeons I researched amd would have happily used were David Floyd (london), Guy Sterne (midlands) and Paul Banwell (London). David was closer to me in distance, and I loved the pics of his work and knew he would do en bloc so that’s how I decided. I’m so glad they’re out, my health is already improving after years of suffering (doctors could never find what was wrong with me)
