6 weeks.. Post op check up
WORTH IT
Can't believe the time has gone so quickly... Had my 6 week check up today have got the all clear to wear any bra I'm comfortable in during the day... Apparently my ps likes his ladies to sleep in sports bras for 'EVER!!' ... I'm allowed the odd night here and there without but have to be in it more nights than I'm out of it!
A small price to pay for having boobies and let's face it it's better to protect your investment!!
I have to put cocoa butter on my scars twice a day and go back to see the ps at 12 weeks... Had a bra fitting afterwards at M&S as confirmed what I already had worked out through endless hours of bra shopping... Am a 34E...
The nurse says that all my swelling is gone and I shouldn't get any smaller now... Phew!! I'm so pleased with them I wouldn't want to be any smaller as I think I've got so used to them already they don't seem so big now. Lol

Nearly 5 weeks!
Well today yet more shopping... Have visited a few stores today... House of Fraser, bravissimo, British Home Stores, Ann a Summers but I have to say although they do stock some bigger sizes for the fuller breasted ladies lol M & S is still my best friend when it comes to sizes choice and comfort... The staff are not falling over themselves to help you and I've decided not to proceed with a fitting as I've tried on so many bras now I know what fits!
They had loads of bras reduced and got 3 for under £10 in total plus another push up type which was very reasonable too.
Have updated a few pictures it's so nice to be able to wear clothes I wouldn't if even looked at before
My left breast is bigger than my right.. It always was and one has dropped more than the other but I'm still healing and when I look back at what I had I'm over the moon with my results ... Looking forward to that 6 week milestone now
I've found the wire on a push up quite uncomfortable but to get that full cleavage look I need something slightly smaller to boost the girls up a bit! Won't be wearing them just yet but good to have a quick try on as I think it's easy to get used to not wearing a proper bra with the sports bras being so soft and stretchy :)

4 Weeks today
Can't believe it's only 4 weeks it's felt like forever!!
Looking forward to being able to sleep without a bra soon... I've found my nipples are so sensitive as they have been covered 24/7 I've started to treat myself to half an hour without a bra each evening whilst propped up in bed... No pain just a few odd sensations here and there and the morning boob is definitely improving...
2 more weeks til my next check up am missing riding my horse can start again in 2 weeks but think I may need my sports bra then lol
Seem to have one scar darker than the other but still early days
I have a scar on each hand from surgery last year and now very feint .
Really pleased with the size and shape now... Can't imagine how it felt without them now !!

What a great review, and a fantastic result - you're looking great :-)
Ahh that feeling of taking the ugly bra off for a while in the evening, it's so good!!!! :-)
My morning boob practically disappeared overnight so to speak - around the 4 week point - it's lovely waking up without tight boobs - and it might be all in my mind, but time seems to be going quicker now I'm not consciously aware of my boobs all the time anymore - (no more pain, tingles or tight feelings) :-)

Aww thanks... Yes was just thinking today I've not really noticed any hardness or twinges at all and like you say not consciously aware of them every second of the day as that's really weird lol
I hope mine stay the size they are now as I really love them :)

I got measured at 3 weeks and am still the same size two weeks later if that helps to reassure - I'd be surprised if you change size now :-)
I hope not! Am due to be measured in a couple of weeks but after spending countless hours trying on bras and taking them back and changing them I've sussed it out myself... I asked in M&S but they said they don't measure after BA until your 6 weeks... Company policy lol... My partner is now an expert in measuring and told me I needed an E even tho I was convinced I'd be a DD!
To be honest with you I didn't find M&S very helpful - I haven't bought any bras from them post BA.
Boux Avenue and the house of Fraser have been my saviours - augmented breasts sit differently and are not as easy to squidge into the wrong size bra so proper fitting I feel is a must :-) need to protect our expensive investment ;-)
I thought I'd end up a D/DD but I'm an F/FF dependent on brand! I've said goodbye to the notion that I could pick up cheapie fashion bras in places like Primark and New Look, they just don't fit!

We had a look in a few shops today they had nothing that fits so I understand what you mean about buying from certain stores... Hopefully tomorrow we will have more success as I've done some research on the internet and found some of the bigger department stores that cater for DD+ so that's tomorrow's mission sorted as DD is about the limit in a lot of stores ranges and they don't fit at all... I can't remember what we used to do every weekend before I had boobs lol :)
Lol I know what you mean, whenever I'm the shops at the mo I'm a woman on a mission looking for bras to fit! Good luck and enjoy shopping, please let me know if you have success in any particular stores - love these big boobs but they aren't easy to cover with undies !! :-)
Hey ladies this conversation is so useful to me I've already been thinking where to shop after ba 11 days pre op do either of u know where I can get front fasten bras from I have no idea where to start and want to at least have something I got a sports bra today but it's an over the head one with no fastenings so I doubt il be able to get it on within the first 2-3 weeks lol one with front fastening would be perfect :) I have been following both your reviews and your progress is just amazing :) xx
Hi,
I wore a Macom bra post op - they are designed specifically for post op - and it was the best thing ever! Because it was a little longer line it didn't rub or irritate my incisions at all - so important!
It's front fastening and you just order by under band size so you don't even have to try guessing your post op cup size!
Bit pricey - around £40 but when you consider how much a BA costs it's just a small addition on top,
If you use the code MYBREAST on their website you'll get a discount too :-)
Hope this helps! Wishing you a wonderful booby journey :-) not long got you to wait now, you must be so excited!!
And thank you, I love my boobies, so glad I did it :-) xx

Just out of interest are you booked in for overs or unders? :-)
Hayleyc88 I'm so excited for you and looking forward to your pics...
I didn't manage to find anything front fastening but the macom sounds just like the one you need! I was pulling them over my head but front fastening would of been much easier.

I wasn't offered unders and I do know the recovery is slightly longer with unders... I am happy with the result I have... My surgeon had done over 9000 BA's so I trusted his professional judgement.... Finding a surgeon you have complete faith in is very important... I wish you well with your research and hope you find the surgeon who can give you the results your looking for.
I only consulted with one ps as I was happy with what he offered and the service they provide I decide to go with my gut instinct and didn't get any second opinions.
I did push for slightly bigger implants at my consultation and he gave me slightly bigger than he had already offered... But said that would be the biggest he would use... I'm happy with my result and that I did ask for slightly bigger... It seems a long time ago now but I think he had offered 375cc but I pushed and he said 415cc was my maximum
It's been the best thing I ever did and the recovery has been far easier than I ever imagined it to be.
