How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

I received my treatment today. I want to give an honest review. Thermage has a bad rep from people who have high expectations for a non invasive procedure. On the other hand there are many people who have had nightmare experiences such as burns and intents and lost of pigmentation. I believe it is important to find a good plastic surgeon's office with an educated staff. It is also important to keep a conservative expectation. My procedure was done by a physician assistant who is experienced and educated in her field. I received two consults and confirmed I was a good candidate. I have mild laxity but when I sit I can honestly say a tuck would def give me the optimal look I am trying to achieve but I want to prolong that decision as much as possible and keep killing it at the gym ( lol )

Did I feel pain during thermage?
Only in a few spots but I remembered not to move or squirm because I did not want any burn marks. The horror stories you have heard are true which is why it's important to go to the proper office with a board certified plastic surgeon.
The procedure was done at 10am it is now 7:00pm and all I feel is a burning sensation on my tummy
Do I notice a difference? I am gonna say I see a slight difference even though it takes months.
Am I hopeful to see a difference ? Yes
Do I regret my decision? I will update you in a couple of weeks.
I almost canceled the because of all of the reviews I read but the PA reassured me that yes she has heard of being getting burned and having hyper pigmentation but assured me it has NEVER happened under her care and with the new tip it is virtually impossible because the machine basically shuts off when the energy is too high for your body.

There was only one concern I have during the procedure the machine ran out of the cooling mechanism not sure what it is called but she had to change the tank mid-procedure...... And then the machine was acting up but I know from all my research it happens

Fingers crossed I will send an update in a few weeks

I was given something for pain and only a few areas where painful but nothing too bad. It's no this extreme painful experience.....

Thermage Update day 2

I felt a little pain sensation this morning may not be related to the procedure. I have to say I see a difference and it's only been 24 hours. I was going to wait to write a post but I had to let people know about my experience. Again, my expectations are moderate at best. One particular Doctor commented months ago when I was considering this procedure that the results are marginal at best.... Well doc I can tell ya that 1 day later I am experiencing what you would call marginal results. I will repost as I see improvements but after one day it's pretty satisfying to see a difference and it makes me feel great about myself and my decision.

Thermage is working

I am a week and a half out and I notice that my tummy is smaller.... Thermage is not lipo I just believe my loose skin has gotten tighter. It is a small change but one I am happy with. I am looking forward to see what the following months have to offer. Even this small change is enough for me.
Side note You have to be the right canidate for this procedure. You also have to have this done in a certified plastic surgeons office. Please do not go to just anyone! this machine is no joke. some areas where painful and I can see how some patients have been burnt by it especially if done by the wrong person. Will update with Pictures soon
